    Job Dimension

    • Establishing and promoting sound financial management and accounting practices as well as ensuring accurate recording arid reporting of financial
    • Make significant contribution to achieving objectives in an important aspect or area of the organization’s work; Control may be exercised over a medium abed department and budget.
    • The job frequently requires the exercise of judgment and initiative in dealing with situations and solving problems, which involve interpreting generalized guidelines and precedents.
    • The work is highly diverse, involving many different elements, which may not be closely related to one another and may extend to several areas of activity.
    • The work involves solutions to problems across a number of areas, which require extensive enquiry and interpretation and a high degree of independent judgment.
    • Contacts are made at sit levels in the organization and outside and involve the exercise of a high degree of communicating, negotiating and persuading skills and joint problem solving.
    • The work is heavily pressurized or stressful because for example, of the need to meet demanding deadlines, deal with difficult people, or cope with constantly changing priorities.

    Qualification and Experience

    • A good degree or its equivalent from acceptable University in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics
    • Post graduate qualification in Accounting or related fields;
    • Certification in or professional membership of Accounting or related bodies;
    • Good knowledge of accounting software
    • Attendance of related courses, workshops/seminars
    • Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience, 5 of which must be in management position.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Age not more than 45 years as at least birthday and physically fit
    • Considerable competence in a managerial or professional field in order to understand and apply advanced policies, practices, concepts or principles
    • Must be a person of integrity
    • Good knowledge and practical experience iv financial planning and budgeting process
    • Ability to evolve administrative and personnel policies and procedures to meet organization’s business objectives
    • Good knowledge of human resources planning and development.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, planning and organization, people management and negotiation skills.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skits
    • Proficiency in the use of computer
