Distribution Manager at Best Search Recruitment

JOB SUMMARY
A multinational pharmaceutical is currently in need of a Distribution Manager to oversee the proper scheduling and routing of deliveries based on specified targets. He/she is also responsible in ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods to customers while maintaining a low distribution cost. He/she must also manage customer priorities and requests to satisfy customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures timely and accurate delivery of products based on sales orders of customers.
• Analyzes stock movements and inventories to be able to effectively plan the dispatch of stocks.
• Responsible in managing distribution costs and in ensuring that the cost is kept on a minimum level.
• Responsible in ensuring that the appropriate volume of products are received and distributed to clients in an accurate and timely manner.
• Responsible in utilizing information systems that will document, maintain and store appropriate volume of products.
• Observes the highest standards of customer service by immediately attending and resolving customer issues before dispatch of products.
• Develops and implements business process initiatives to optimize operations in accordance with overall business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Requires a BS in Supply Chain, or Business or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years experience in warehousing operations.
• Requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in an FMCG environment.
• Excellent computer skills are a must.
• Good math and analytical skills. Good written and verbal communications skills and negotiation skills.
• Must have a proven track record in achieving measurable results in a similar environment
• Must have a proven track record in developing a strong culture and team
• Must be knowledgeable regarding warehousing operations, movement and control of inventory, shipping and receiving, and freight management.
• Must be adept at problem solving, and developing solutions to achieve desired results
• Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
