    Production Supervisor

    Job Purpose:
    Regularly achieves quality metrics by establishing, training and enforcing organization standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Completes production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; accomplishing work results; revising schedules; resolving problems; and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
    • Maintains production work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; recommending and implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; and facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points;
    • Regularly achieves quality metrics by establishing, training and enforcing organization standards.
    • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
    • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
    • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; and recommending and implementing change as appropriate.
    • Leads or participates in projects as needed.
    • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources. Promotes and maintains compliance with established policies and procedures.

    Education/Experience:

    • University Degree in a related field or a minimum of 7 years of manufacturing work experience
    • Previous leadership/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to communicate ideas, needs and direction to all levels of the organization
    • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Attention to detail and results-oriented
    • Ability and willingness to receive instruction in supervision, leadership and human relation skills
    • Ability to work overtime as needed
