Job Specification
· A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Environmental/ Sciences.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in EHS Management System implementation and operation
· Good all-round knowledge of project EHS requirements
· EHS leadership experience and skills
· Experience in Risk Assessment
· A detailed understanding of the hazards associated with E & P operations.
· Experienced in Accident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis

Essential Function
· Facilitate & participate in inspection & audits of Head Office, worksites, Terminals, Plants + contractors as applicable (audits will include EMS MS & QMS audits). Also assists the EHSQ Mgr. to close out NCs arising from such inspection and audits
· Document all accident / incident reports as they occur and generate accident/ incident/HIR’s monthly reports and statistics. In some cases, he/she will be required to participate in incident investigation.
· Coordinate communication between Head Office and any affected OER base facility during time of emergency.
· Work with other departments/units to incorporate standard practices from international standards & best practices.
· Ensure that all staff comply with the company EHSQ policy, guidelines and standards.
· Support EHSQ Manager in interfacing with the regulatory bodies and technical partners to secure permits and ensure compliance on EHSQ regulations.
· Help in creation EHS awareness through EHS meetings and co-ordination and implementation of training schedule
· Liaise with OER contractors on EHSQ issues- Via collation of EHSQ field reports for ongoing projects and monitor compliance
Non-Essential Function
· Maintain the Departmental documentation/records and ensure effective document/record control is in place in line with company’s document management system.
· Work with EHSQ Mgr. to drive OER’s initiatives and close out.
· Compile EHSQ Shared services reports.

· Improve Organization wide EHS Culture and procedure compliance
· The degree of accident and incident free work environment that exist in all Oando’s installation.
