The MacTay Group is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a globally renowned medical healthcare provider. The Group is headquartered in the UAE and with its presence of about 25 years in Nigeria operates businesses in the manufacturing, distribution, logistics and services industries.
POSITION /GRADE: CEO
REPORTING TO: Group CEO / Director Healthcare
REPORTING INTO: Reporting officers – COO, Lab Director, Finance, HR etc.
LOCATION: Initially Lagos, Nigeria. Can be transferable anywhere in world.
POSITION OBJECTIVES:
1. Key resource to develop & implement Business Strategy
2. Delivering agreed results through - coordination of operations & people motivation
3. Responsible for analyzing & implementation of growth plans
4. Team leadership
5. Governance – Works closely with the Board on strategy and compliance.
6. Ensures legal compliance with applicable regulations
7. Brand ambassador for the Company.

1. Business today:
a. Develop detailed business and growth targets
b. Set up and develop leadership in sales and customer service

a. Develop growth strategy in larger healthcare business area

a. Develop good relationships with competition, Govt. and statutory/ regulatory bodies

Requirements
PERSONAL PROFILE:
• Age: 30- 40 years old, but we will not limit the search by this range
• Any nationality, preferable African
• Qualifications: Medical Doctor/ PhD in Laboratory Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science etc. with an MBA or equivalent administration and/or corporate management experience
• Profit centre experience is needed in leading a healthcare facility or division - hospitals/ pathology lab chain (minimum 5 years)
• Experience: Previous experience of setting up Laboratory / Diagnostics Centre and developed automation of the laboratory; implement LIMS and PACS interface etc will be an asset. Work experience in Africa/Nigeria essential - International exposure will be an added advantage
• Network: Top-level network in the medical and diagnostics industry and, especially with various equipment suppliers
PERSONAL SKILL SET:
•Excellent presentation and English communication skills
• Advance IT skills of MS Office, Internet and computer.
• Business leadership
• Demonstrable business savvy and capacity to manage a team
• Ability to deliver sales & service leadership and be an industry expert
• Self-starter and driven by excellence
