Job Description
The Electrical Technician is charged with designing, developing, testing & supervising electrical installations/maintenance of electrical equipment used in the manufacturing processes.

Primary Responsibilities

•     Preparation & study of technical drawings/specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installations and operations conform to standards
•     Maintain electrical equipment/installations
•     Troubleshoot and resolve electrical equipment issues that may affect smooth running of manufacturing equipment/installations
•     Obtain quotes on costs of electrical items and assist in the purchase of electrical materials & production equipment
•     Supervise and train team members

Special Skills & Key Behavioral Competencies

•     Ability to read & analyse technical data, designs or specifications with particular reference to electrical systems/installations used in manufacturing organisations
•     Good oral & written communication
•     Ability to read schematics & technical drawings
•     Ability to test & understand manufacturing equipment/installations electrical systems
•     Must be a good team player

Course/Qualification

•     Technical School certificate / National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
•     Relevant Experience
•     Minimum of 3 Years post qualification hands-on experience in related manufacturing organisations.
