    Senior Materials Coordinator

    Position Summary
    The Senior Materials Coordinator is directly responsible for the warehouse and storage locations associated to the warehouse under management. 
    Main operations are coordinating the rig’s materials requisitions, organizing and controlling the warehouse, and maintaining the warehouse inventory levels within established guidelines. Materials coordinator should ensure all warehouse operations are carried out in a safe and prudent manner.

    The Senior Materials Coordinator has one direct report: Materials Coordinator. 

    Qualifications and Experience
    •    High school diploma, senior school certificate (SSCE)/ West Africa Examination Council (WAEC)/ GCE O/L, or equivalent. 
    •    5+ years of rig based experience in similar positions with drilling contractor or large oil field service company. 
    •    Fluent English communication skills (oral and written). 
    •    Basic computer skills. 
    •    Exposure to warehouse management applications (SAP Warehouse Management preferred). 
    •    SAP Experience. 
    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
    •    Comply with Pacific Drilling Code of Conduct and supporting policies, standards and applicable process documentation.
    •    Perform all work according to agreed expectations of both internal and external customers, focus on doing things right the first time, every time, and contribute actively to continual improvement activities.
    •    Secure the warehouse at all times and restrict access to non-authorized personnel. 
    •    Receive materials into the warehouse stock and issue parts to departments as needed. 
    •    Liaise with department heads in the preparation of materials requisitions for all parts and equipment – Focus on planning to minimize urgent orders – Forward approved requisitions. 
    •    Maintain accurate records of received and outstanding requisitions, and cargo manifests. 
    •    Maintain adequate stock levels of equipment spares and consumables so as to facilitate the continuous operation of the unit. 
    •    Prepare periodic reports for the Technical Superintendent, Rig manager and shore-based Materials Supervisor as required. 
    •    Perform inventory cycle count and maintain the physical inventory in the warehouse. 
    •    Review regularly obsolete and surplus parts and advise Rig Supervisors for follow up. 
    •    Utilize the PSC IS to maintain an accurate inventory of all materials stored on the rig.
    •    Prepare manifest for all equipment dispatched from the rig either by sea or air. 
    •    Check for discrepancies in materials received against delivery notes and outward manifest. Issue Procurement Incident Report for incorrect items.
    •    Assist department heads in establishing a realistic minimum/maximum warehouse stock of all shut down or critical items. 
    •    Provides Fixed Asset Register information to department heads. 
    •    Ensure all hazardous and non-hazardous wastes are correctly labeled and packaged prior to shipment ashore. 
    •    Review requested freight methods with department heads to minimize unnecessary excessive freight costs. 
    •    Pro-active approach, improving description of parts and making efforts to simplify processes. 
    •    Mentor, develop and train crew members to ensure familiarity with PSC processes. 
    •    Promote and maintain an effective working relationship and communication with other departments, shore base materials department, third party personnel and Client representatives. 
    •    Clearly and accurately communicate work status at end of shift and end of hitch handovers. 
    •    Completion of all mandatory training and certification requirements for Senior Materials Coordinator as described in the Pacific Drilling offshore Training matrix. 

    Work Environment
    Offshore rotating 28/28 or 14/14 depending on country of operations. 
    Day shift from 06.00 to 18.00 under normal circumstances.
