    WASH Officer

    Post Title: WASH Officer
    Level: Water, Sanitation & Hygiene Officer (NOB)
    Contract Type: Fixed Term (FT)
    Duration: At least one year
    Location: Multiple Duty Stations

    WASH Officer NOB will be accountable for professional technical contribution to proqrarnrne/project design, administration, monitoring and evaluation of WASH proqramme/project activities. data analysis and oroqress reportinq, and commitment for enhancement af teamwork and capacity building, in support of achievement of planned objectives of the work plan, aligned with UNICEF programme goals and strategy for the country

    Minimum Requirements:

    • University degree in one of the drsciplmes relevant to the following areas: Public Health, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, Hydrology, Sanitation Engrneering. or a field relevant to International WASH related development assistance.
    • Two years of professional work experience in the UN or other international development organization, national govemment or the private sector. Field work experience
    • Minimum Technical Knowledge Requirements for all above positions
    • Essential Technical Knowledge of theories, pnnciples and methods In one or more of the following areas, communication for behavior change, WASH in schools rural water supply projects implementation, planning, evaluation, appropriate water supply and quality technology community based water supply, controlling water borne related diseases. emergency (preparedness and response)
    • Knowledge of the latest theories, technology and practces in: Community based sanitation, hygiene education or construction and waste management
    • Gender and diversity awareness
    • Additional training in Health Education or Commurucation for Development (Programme Communication asset)
