    Process Engineer

    Job Objective/ Purpose of Job:
    •To carry out all process engineering activities, from conceptual design through to commissioning, required to execute a wide variety of multi-discipline oil and gas projects involving modifications to existing flowstations and processing facilities and new build wellhead facilities and pipelines.
    •The objective is to carry out all projects safely, on time and within budget.

    Location: Lagos

    Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
    •To provide a focal point for the resolution of process engineering questions from conceptual engineering through detailed design to construction and commissioning.
    •Act as Company representative for the preparation or review of Design Bases, P&IDs, PFDs, etc. Provide process engineering input to other discipline specialists to assure that design outputs are consistent.
    •To act as the Company representative (as required) to ensure that design work by contractors meets Company standards and relevant industry codes, in particular, API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, etc.
    •Assist Company resident or project engineers with process engineering aspects of Facilities design including:
    •Evaluating technical issues related to preparation of proposals, and evaluation of equipment for adherence to required performance criteria.
    •Performing process equipment purchasing tasks such as vendor bid enquiry preparation, vendor bid analysis and vendor selection,
    •Working with manufacturers during fabrication, and providing support to field personnel during site checkouts and commissioning of equipment,
    •Assisting in the resolution of field problems during construction, assessing field recommendations on process change recommendations, and in the implementation of efficient corrections that can reduce operational problems,
    •Provide engineering calculations for piping and crude oil separation systems including line sizing, vessel sizing, hydraulic studies, duty requirements, retention and settlement times, etc.,
    •Monitor the performance of design contractors and suggest remedial actions were required to improve schedule or quality performance,
    •Participate in HAZOP’s and other key design reviews.

    Key Performance Indicators/ Performance Goals:
    •Ensure all assigned tasks are completed safely, within budget, on time and in accordance with“fit for purpose” specifications.

    Education /Qualification:
    •University degree in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of Second Class honours

    Professional Qualification:
    •Full membership of a recognized engineering professional institution is an added advantage

    Experience:
    •Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Process Engineering position. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
    •Computer literate (including good working knowledge of Process Simulation Software – HYSYS, Pro II, Pipesim, Word and Excel)
