    Diving Technician

    Responsibilities

    • Carry out maintenance and control of all the electrical diving equipment;
    • A Define maintenance work setting priorities and draw up a maintenance frequency schedule;
    • Supervise and coordinate the Mechanic Foremen and the deck mechanics to ensure that the work is carried out in compliance with the quality requirements;
    • Assign to his team the execution of the required maintenance activities;
    • Stock the required quantity of material through the establishment of minimum and maximum stock levels, in order to ensure the work continuity. Order spare parts for scheduled maintenance in due time;
    • Liaise with the Chief Engineer and Diving Superintendent on the preparation of the equipment;
    • Ensure that all the project equipment used are certified, in suitable condition and properly stored;
    • Provide maintenance for the project equipment when required;
    • Report near misses and incidents;
    • Has responsibility for the operation, maintenance and repair of the system, implements and monitors technical procedures and reporting, work management and execution;
    • Ensure the efficiency of the diving equipment;
    • Ensures that the equipment and all relevant systems are in complete working order and in compliance with all technical requiremeçits;
    • Provide maintenance plan and spare parts;
    • Participate in the implementation of Company’s preventative planned maintenance and certification programme, ensuring all tasks are performed in accordance with Regulations, Procedures and Work Instructions and in conjunction with Senior Dive Technicians, Chief Engineer, Diving Superintendent, and Onshore Technical Superintendents;
    • During all maintenance and operational activities, liaise with and communicate the equipment status to the Senior Dive Technician, Dive Supervisor, Chief Engineer, and Diving Superintendent;
    • Responsible for striving to continuously improve systems within the department, in conjunction with personnel within and out with the department;
    • Ensure adequate training to personnel;
    • Manage the diving equipment ensuring its continuous operation through ordinary/extraordinary maintenance and repairs;
    • Ensure that permit work system is understood and operated;
    • Ensuring the Company operating procedures are adhered to in the day to day work execution and carrying out general operations team duties as required;
    • Provide shift Toolbox and JSA (Job Safety Analysis) if required;
    • Perform duties within the vessel emergency team as indicated in the Emergency preparedness manual;
    • Ensuring that a thorough and detailed handover briefing prior to handing over control of his work activities to a relief;
    • Fully adhere, at all times and irrespective of the workplace, to Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies, procedures and requirements
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by Superior.

    Requirements

    • IMCA Dive Technicians Logbook with pages stamped
    • Offshore Survival
    • SOS IET/FOET
    • Computer literate in word and excel.
    • Offshore medical certificate,
    • Not less than 10 years in similar job
