Qualification: OND

Duration: Fulltime (subject to yearly review based on performance)

Job Description and Key Responsibilities

• Unload grains from incoming vehicles and stack them at the assigned pallets;
• Ensure all bagged grains are handled safely and deliveries are checked for quality;
• Identify damages, report shortages and quality deficiencies to the Silo Manager;
• Inspect machinery for maintenance purposes and determine the need for repairs;
• Ensure that scheduled maintenance take place;
• Ensure that forklift truck operating hours are recorded;
• Ensure the forklift is clean and contains enough fuel before operation;
• Comply with company policies and guidelines;
• Assist in keeping a safe environment.

Key Competencies:

• Possess a ND/Technicians qualification
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literate and fully conversant with office equipment including photocopier, scanner and printers.
• Good knowledge of health and safety practices with prior experience in a similar role
