Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of splicing, termination and testing of Optical Fiber Cable.
• Experience in Fiber Civil Works and Fiber Pulling/blowing.
• Extensive knowledge of Fiber closures assemblies and installations.
• Ability to use OTDR, light source and power meter and splicing machine.
• Avoid downtime /fiber cut 100%
• Knowledge of preparing route map.
• Experience in the calculation of loss budget.
• Proficient in the use of relevant CAD package.
• Clear understanding of relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
• Available for quick fiber restoration in an event of failure
• Experience with Vendor Service Level management.
• Knowledge of Internetworking and GSM Technologies.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to details.
• FOA certification is added advantage.
• The nature of the work requires the working at extended hours, to be physically fit, healthy and agile.
• Readiness to travel outside place of residence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of B.Eng/B.Tech in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
