Construction Engineer at EPCM Engineers Limited

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and implementing Procedures as per the standard and Quality documents related for inspection of raw materials.
• Review quality of all materials at the site and ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality.
• Develop and determine all standards to perform inspection and tests on all procedures and oversee all testing methods and maintain high standards of quality for all processes.
• Monitor an efficient system and record for all project activities and analyse all processes to ensure all work according to quality requirements.
• Manage all work methods and maintain knowledge on all quality assurance standards and monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes and recommend corrective actions for all processes.
• Responsible in checking site engineers are following the specifications and standards of the project.
• Issuing site memos and internal Non Conformance Report if site engineers and sub-contractors are not following quality procedures of the project.
• Ensure works are performed in accordance with the contract and completed on the project time.
• Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents.
• Ensure that health and safety measures are established, and maintain the same throughout the project, by conducting periodic safety audits
• Ensure construction QA/QC processes are being implemented and carried out by contractors and sub-contractors of the project.
• Studying approved shop drawing before executing it in the fabrication shop. Making sure that all materials has the proper documentation and markings.
• Checking for the correct dimensions, tolerances, preparation, fit-up and alignment are in accordance with the approved shop drawings.
• Making sure that proper welding process is carried out according to approved welding procedures specification.
• Identifying visually defective welds and report it to the welding inspector to arrange for welding testing (NDT).
• Carry out approved repair procedures which conforms with drawings and standard requirements
• Liaison with company departments on all matters relating to QA/QC works.
• Performs additional work as required.
