    Construction Superintendent/Technical Integrator

    Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

    Job Descriptions

    • Completion and Commissioning of Integrated Project (Onshore/Offshore) comprising of CCP/CPF Gas plant & NAG plant, and flow station to a highly aggressive schedule to enable timely completion of the project in a very difficult environment.
    • Opportunity exists to develop ca. 70 MMstb of oil, by protecting and boosting production in the Field, through installation of field-wide gas lifting capacity, renewal of 2 value-adding offshore clusters / bulk lines, provision of electrification and control capabilities for 9 offshore clusters with 3 onshore wells, drilling 2 new wells and workover 2 wells, in the time period mid-2020 to 2024.
    • Interface and Technical Integration Coordinator for SOTP:
    • Management of Project technical integration and interfaces on all Shallow Offshore and Terminal projects.
    • Ensuring technical interface issues are identified early and pro-actively addressed. Assure technical integrity of site materials, coordinate site Logistics movements, manage permits & consents for each phase of projects activities and ensure safe delivery of complex projects.

    Principal Accountabilities: Projects :

    • Completion and Commissioning of the Integrated Project (Onshore/Offshore) comprising of CCP/CPF Gas plant & NAG plant, and flow station.
    • Directing aspects of Construction Project Management covering construction phases from estimating to project completion.
    • Promoting an Incident and Accident Free culture at work sites.
    • Review, monitor and be responsible for ensuring component and packaged equipment vendors’ compliance with the project technical requirements.
    • Interface and coordinate with the other project teams (such as Asset team) and with other MC contractors throughout the project execution.
    • Safeguard all old demolished skids and equipment’s after upgrade and keep safe after inventory for future use, if necessary.
    • To plan, control and motivate the work of the project team and contractors to complete construction and commissioning of the Project Onshore facilities to standards, on time and within budget.
    • To ensure HSE MS policies and standards are addressed in construction, and the execution of work incident free.
    • Provides comprehensive quality instrumentation/electrical & general engineering services to company staff and registered contractors/vendors in an efficient manner.
    • Create the plan, the scope and lead offshore execution of shutdown activities for instrumentation that guarantee completion within the definite shutdown timeline especially for the Field Turn Around Maintenance (TAM).
    • Manage the QA/QC process during the design, procurement and construction phases and demonstrate the Technical Integrity of the facilities.
    • Oversee site work execution, develop procedures for maintenance or engineering team to ensure safe, standards specification to achieve highest quality of the work.
    • Leadership role in the engineering team offshore, providing general/specialist input as appropriate towards development of best practice engineering procedures and protocols for optimization of services.
    • Provide mechanical, instrumentation & electrical engineering tools and implement interventions to staff and eligible contractors, designed to ensure a healthy, high performing workforce and business.
    • Identify risks involved in work activities within the role of all employees whilst carrying out project activities, reporting all potential identified risks.
    • Ensure suitability, availability and serviceability of all equipment required.
    • Contribute to the development of policies/guidelines and management protocols for the promotion of best practice within the industry.
    • Technical Interface and Integration Engineer:
    • Interface with all Project stakeholders on Process plant construction, refurbishment and commissioning of Gas plants  and Flow/Compressor (Gas injection) stations.
    • Interface with Discipline engineering teams in timely manner to resolve issues between sites and onshore and offshore offices on the engineering issues and support the close out of Engineering Technical Query’s-ETQ.
    • Interface and participate with multi-discipline, multi-system engineering and inspection teams on-site during all phases of project.
    • Interface with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for retrofit and upgrade works.
    • Field Instrumentation and System integration interface works, including implementation of all the project studies leading from DEM1 & 2 changes.
    • Interface with DCS system integrators and discipline teams for the retrofit/upgrade & PC & C works of the DCS system-PAS/SIS and FGS.
    • Interface project procurement for obsolete/new equipment for all project locations.
    • Implement the lean process towards better project management and cost savings.
    • Co-ordinate Mechanical-piping, Electrical and Instrumentation design engineering- change control/ modification/ recommendation, inputs to shutdown Planning and Scheduling, Technical presentations and proposals, HAZID/HAZOP workshop participation, Procurement participation.
    • Interface and Integrate with the other company teams (such as Asset team) and with other MC contractors throughout the project execution period.
    • Coordinating the Process plant Construction to Mechanical completion, and pre commissioning works.

    • Degree title: A University degree in Engineering/Science
    • Experience: Minimum Experience 15 Year
    • Other experience: 15 years of experience Field Construction in the Oil and Gas industry major projects environment. At least 5 years in Offshore Installations on Control Systems experience.
