Project Engineers at Alcon Nigeria Limited

Job Summary:
Project Engineers shall be responsible for design, planning, installation and commissioning of civil/structural, electrical/instrument, piping, civil and mechanical components of our project deliverables.

Major Responsibilities:

•     Creating and editing civil/structural, piping and electrical/ instrumentation diagrams utilising client’s standards
•     Ensuring quality and accuracy of piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil/structural and mechanical design activities including layout, specification development, material selection (MTO), calculation and drafting of changes required for improvement.
•     Shall conduct and/or participate in technical review meetings, specifications, designs and codes.
•     Supervision of field construction activities according to the specified design drawings and in line with standard design practices.
•     Ensuring that design codes, DEPs, specifications, procedures and methods relating to project design and construction are implemented.
•     Maintenance of as-built files.

Qualification and Personal Attributes:

•     The ideal candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline of Civil/structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgical/Material or Petroleum and must have at least 10 years hand-on experience in Oil and Gas industry.
•     Must be a COREN certified Engineer.
•     Must be able to work in teams towards the attainment of Corporate objectives.
•     Must be knowledgeable in standards such as ASME, BSI and SHELL DEP.
•     Must be ready to work long hours and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
