    Accountant

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Account manager responsibilities include developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders.
    •  Account Managers liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs.
    • Manage and develop client accounts to initiate and maintain favorable relationship with clients.
    • Responsible for leading the accounting team, dedicated to meeting the operational needs of assigned client segments.
    • The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting.
    •  This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
    • The Accounting Manager supervises staff accountants and the finance team.
    • He or she is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
    • This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
    • The Accounting Manager will have contact with the CEO, Auditors, Senior-level Attorneys and the firm’s management which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.

    REQUIREMENT

    • Expert at Accounting software   (Sage 50, Tally, SAP, ERP, QuickBooks)
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
    • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
    • Knowledge of tax , is an advantage
    • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
    • Proficiency in English (Reading & Writing)
    • Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
    • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
    • Customer service focus
    • Ability to understand and communicate numbers
    • Positive attitude and disposition towards circumstances
    • Proven account management or other relevant experience
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
    • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
    • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
    • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity
    • Ability to prioritize among competing tasks
    • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
    • Understanding of website development, marketing, measurement and analytics, content management, digital marketing and internet technology
    • Excellent time and project management skills. You’re always looking to improve inefficient processes
    • Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
    • Expert at Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, Salesforce and help desk support software

    QUALIFICATION

    • Bachelor of science degree or its equivalent  in (marketing, sales, economics)  with emphasis in Accounting or Finance
    • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
    • Must be chartered (ACA, CPA, ACCA)
    • Seven to 5-8 years’ experience as an Accountant and minimum of 3year’s prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area.
    • Experience working in an Fmcg industry, law firm accounting or professional services firm is preferred.
    • Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting.
    • Experience in a large automated accounting system a plus. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
