Junior Front-End Developer at LifeBank

Reporting Relationships: Will report to the Tech Lead

About the role

• The front-end developer is responsible for the overall application experience for LifeBank visitors. She/he will implement visual design elements that users will see when they interact with all LifeBank platforms. Aligning LifeBank’s business goals with technology is also a key task of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and ensure that user-facing features are friendly and easy to use
• Collaborate with other units to design and create new features for LifeBank applications
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to back end developer
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
• Design and create mockups and user journeys for a wide range of devices (desktop, tablet, phone)
• Review user feedback and iterate the user interface
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
• Perform other IT tasks as assigned

Requirements
Educational Qualification:

• B.Sc/HND in Computer Engineering/ Science or Any related discipline

Experience:

• 2-3 years experience in a similar role with portfolio to show Copywriting ability a plus

Skills and Abilities:

• Able to connect the dots between business needs, innovation and design
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the entire web development process
• Strong proficiency in image authoring tools such as Photoshop
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Have impeccable visual and design skills
• Proficient knowledge of JavaScript frameworks
• Good understanding of SEO principles
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Familiar with front-end and back-end programming language
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Must be able to prepare management reports and correspondence
