JOB DESCRIPTION

Our company is looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee the daily accounting functions of our company, as well develop and implement standard accounting procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing daily accounting functions
• Monitoring and analysing accounting data to produce financial reports
• Preparing invoices and payment vouchers
• Following with outstanding payments and ensuring proper account reconciliation
• Preparing payroll in a timely manner
• Preparing monthly/annual financial budgets, scheduling invoice payments
• Developing external relationships with relevant authorities such as FIRS and Banks, ensuring that TBESL financial and tax concerns are up to date
• Payment of expenses and control of petty cash
• Maintaining accounting records and files

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• University degree in Accounting, a Masters’ degree will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Accountant, experience in an Oil and Gas company will be an added advantage
• ACCA/ACA certified
• A proactive individual with exceptional team working skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
