    Project Manager - ECHO

    Location: Maiduguri, Nigeria with regular travel to: Gwoza, Pulka, Dikwa (this is a mandatory unaccompanied location)
    Type of Role: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract
    Reports to: Education in Emergencies - Technical Specialist

    The Opportunity

    • As the Project Manager you will lead the overall timely and qualitative implementation of an ECHO funded Education in Emergencies (EiE) program in 3 Local Government Areas (LGAs) (Pulka, Dikaw, Gwoza) in North- East Nigeria. This role involves you spending 70% of your time in the 3 field locations and will supervise the ECHO project team to successfully implement the program for Plan International.

    The Person

    • In order to exceed in this important and exciting role you will need a Degree or similar in Development Studies, Project Management, or International development.
    • Demonstrable experience in the INGO sector with work in project management in emergency responses, particularly education in emergencies.
    • Strong knowledge of ECHO requirement is necessary.
    • Strong understanding of humanitarian crisis and the context of North- East Nigeria. Ability to travel within the North East Nigeria for at least 70% of the time.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English including excellent facilitation skills and demonstrated technical writing skills for publication.
