Accountant at Domeo Resources International (DRI)

Main function
The Accountant is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and
maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

Role responsibility
Responsibilities:

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Manage accounting structure for various organisations' projects
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
• Preparing tax returns, administering payrolls and controlling income and expenditure
• Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
• Input credit and debits to the accounting system in support of the payable works
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions
• Ensure the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner
• Analyzing accounts and business plans
• Maintain purchase order processing system
• Financial forecasting and risk analysis and dealing with insolvency cases
• Support budget, negotiating the term of business deals and moves with clients and associated organizations
• Assist the CFO in tracking and maintaining company insurance policies
• Assist the CFO with facility support and security issues
• Collaborates with other teams to support overall department goals and objectives
• Monitors and analyses department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Working to ensure a clean and timely year end audit
• Supervise and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the team
• Meeting and interviewing clients, managing colleagues and workloads
• Work with direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff
• Support special projects and workflow process improvements

Qualifications and Experience

• A BSc in Accounting or its equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in a similar position
