Madiba, as he was fondly called lived his life as a testament that moral courage, integrity, intellectual agility and self-sacrifice are all necessary ingredients and perquisites of inspirational leadership.
He showed that man can rise above primordial sentiments and that for sustainable development, leaderships must become colour blind; and banish all manner of ethnic and religious biases.
May his life and times continue to serve as a beacon of light and hope, as an inspiration to aspiring African leaders. #MandelaLivesOn
