Job Description

• To assist Project Manager in executing all the project activities required to take the project from FEED stage to successful commissioning of the project.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Completing all assigned tasks as delegated by Project Manager
• Co-ordination of internal and external engineering activities and the interdisciplinary interfaces in close coordination with discipline team from Client/PMC/EPC
• Ensure technical requirements defined in the contract specification are properly incorporated in the engineering and project deliverables.
• Coordinate internal and external engineering/ documents/design reviews.
• Support the cost control and forecasting activities in the project.
• Assist in preparation and compilation of EPC Bid package for EPC contract for the development of LNG terminal. This shall include but not limited to review & finalization of bid package, assist C&P in preparation of bid package and bid process, review of technical bids, e.t.c
• Coordination with consultants engaged for bid process management.
• After award of EPC contract, shall be coordinate between EPCs, PMC and Clients Internal technical team for review and provide input on design documents/ P&ID,EPC engineering documents, monitoring of project progress, e.t.c
• Shall manage the interface between EPC contractors at site and ensure timely and smooth flow of interface information and documents.
• Shall review and provide comments on EPC engineering documents, planning, quality, and all other project documents.
• Monitoring the execution of quality assurance program.
• Identify the regulatory approvals/clearances/etc. requirements for the development of project and take timely and required action for application.
• Shall support management reporting and decision making, prepares progress report, presentation as and when required for management review.

Qualification & Criteria:

Education:

• B.E(Electrical).

Experience:

• 10-14 years working experience .
• Experience of working in Projects/O&M LNG/Oil & Gas/ projects in India. Experience of LNG projects or O&M is preferred.,
• Operation of LNG terminal/ refineries/ fertilizer/ power plant/petrochemical
• Understanding of P&ID
• Understanding of bid process and bid package structure.
• Experience of working with LNG project will be preferred
• Codes and Standards
• Experience in BE, FEED and Detailed Engineering

Preferred Knowledge and competencies

• Operation of LNG terminal/ refineries/ fertilizer/ power plant/petrochemical
• Understanding of P&ID
• Understanding of bid process and bid package structure.
• Experience of working with LNG project will be preferred

Required Behavioural Competencies

• Shall have leadership capabilities
• Shall have good communication skills both in speaking as well as written
• Shall have good co-ordination and lesioning skills

Role & responsibilities:

• To support lead electrical and team members on site construction, commissioning activities during project & Operation (Maintenance) phases of Green field fertilizer plant.

RiskAuthorization:

• Identifyand mitigate risks related to all Electrical activities during project and operation phases.
• Budgetary Control Monitorand Control cost associated with all Electrical activities during project & operation phases.
• Supervisory Control: Responsible & accountable for personnel management in Electrical Ammonia and Urea plant.

Operation Phase:

• Responsible for effective Maintenance of Electrical equipment / systems of the plant Preventive, Predictive, Corrective Maintenance and trouble shooting and scheduling. Technical Decision making on Plant Equipment as and when required.
• Optimum Inventory of Spares & Consumables.
• Development and implementation of CMMS (Centralized Maintenance Management System)
• Procurement of equipment, spares & items as necessary and inspections of the same. Preparation of Scope of works for Service Contracts, tendering, review of contract bids, Contract awarding and implementation.
• Day-to-day coordination/supervision with user sections for prioritizing scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance activities.
• Shutdown & Plant Turnaround Planning and Execution. Ensure and maintain safe working practices and procedures in the area.
• Support in controlling effluents and emissions discharges.
• Maintenance Performance monitoring and improvement.
• Suggest and follow-up on improvements.
• Develop, implement and comply to the procedures.

Other responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the best maintenance management systems & practices.
• Prepare MIS reports and other non-routine reports, as required.
• Develop, implement and comply to the management systems with respect to Quality, Health, Safety, Environment. Understanding of HAZOP.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineer with 15 years of Experience:

Competent in Engineering, testing, commissioning and maintenance aspects of:

• Electrical equipment such as HT & LT electrical networks, emergency & UPS power systems, HT & LT switch gears, VCBs & vacuum contactors, Sub-stations, transformers, HT & LT motors, DG sets, grounding & lightening protection, hazardous area classification, VFDs, cable laying & routing, etc.
• Protection system such as relay coordination, various numerical protection relays, etc UP TO 132/33 kv level
• Sound project execution practices.
• Tools & appliances used in the fertilizer Industry
• Codes and Standards
• 3D model
• Understanding of HAZOP and QRA

Trouble shooting:

• Should have basic idea of design criteria, working principle, application for different types of electrical equipment used in process plant.
• Should have knowledge of RCA methodologies to analyse & co-relate observations to evolve solution.
• Desirable competencies:
• MS-Project for scheduling of critical activities
• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical.
