    Mechanical Technician

    Job Summary

    • As part of our commitment to operational excellence and equipment reliability, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Technician to join our Engineering and Maintenance Department.
    • The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing mechanical equipment and production machinery within our poultry and processing facilities.
    • The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, hands-on experience, and a commitment to ensuring minimal downtime and optimal plant performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Carry out routine maintenance and repair of production machinery, conveyors, pumps, and motors.
    • Diagnose mechanical faults and implement timely corrective actions.
    • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce equipment breakdowns.
    • Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report all work carried out.
    • Collaborate with the Electrical and Production teams to resolve operational issues.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance procedures.
    • Recommend mechanical improvements to enhance machine efficiency and reliability.
    • Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of tools, parts, and workshop equipment.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Trade Test Certificate, OND, or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience as a Mechanical Technician in an FMCG, manufacturing, or agro-processing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
    • Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment and on shifts when required.

    Chicken Processing Plant Supervisor

    Job Summary

    • The Chicken Processing Plant Supervisor will be responsible for supervising all processing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
    • The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in poultry processing operations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage both people and processes effectively.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise daily operations of the chicken processing plant, ensuring targets are met in line with production schedules.
    • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), food safety, and hygiene protocols (HACCP).
    • Monitor staff performance, allocate duties, and ensure effective workflow on the production floor.
    • Oversee the slaughtering, dressing, packaging, and storage of processed chicken.
    • Conduct routine checks to maintain equipment functionality and coordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairs.
    • Maintain accurate production records and report daily output, wastage, and efficiency metrics.
    • Train, motivate, and discipline staff to ensure compliance with company policies and productivity standards.
    • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Cold Room, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
    • Implement safety measures and ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers.
    • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiency.

    Requirements

    • OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Animal Science, Food Technology, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in poultry processing operations or an FMCG production environment.
    • Strong knowledge of chicken processing procedures, hygiene standards, and quality control practices.
    • Proven leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Sound understanding of workplace health and safety regulations.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines.
    • Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, and report documentation).

    Electrical Technician

    Job Summary

    • The Electrical Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and machinery within the company’s processing plants, poultry units, and facilities.

    • High regard for safety, quality, and teamwork.
    • Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
