    Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

    Job Summary

    • The individual will maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and building systems.
    • He/She will also conduct regular inspections to identify faulty equipment, perform repairs, and keep records of equipment manuals and user guides as well as maintenance practices and repair work done on all facilities and equipment.

    Responsibilities

    • Assessing mechanical equipment and maintenance requirements.
    • Measuring the performance of mechanical components, devices and engines.
    • Carry out Preventive maintenance with timescales and specifications with company's policy.
    • Modifying and maintaining equipment and the processes that support them.
    • Using computer-aided design/modeling software.
    • Liaising with contractors and supervising their job.
    • Undertaking research on equipment performance.
    • Producing and implementing designs and test procedures.
    • Carrying out risk assessments on the viability of mechanical jobs.
    • Presenting designs to managers and clients.
    • Testing, evaluating, modifying, and re-testing products/equipment.
    • Writing reports and documentation.
    • Providing technical advice.
    • Analyzing and interpreting data and engineering drawings.
    • Managing projects, costs, and people.
    • Carrying out Preventive, Corrective, and Predictive maintenance.
    • Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products
    • Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs
    • Generate working prototypes for better testing and customer demonstration
    • Perform engineering calculations to support design work
    • Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software
    • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
    • Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process
    • Ensure project timeline is met and the project stays within budget etc

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division
    • At least three (3) years of experience related to maintenance activities in the Oil and Gas Industry
    • Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), lean manufacturing

    Head - Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

    Job Summary

    • To develop, implement, monitor, and review the company’s HSE management system, with the goal of achieving work activities without incident, harm to personnel, or damage to property or the environment.
    • Delivering and maintaining a positive Health and Safety culture company-wide and liaising with the management team, relating to all aspects of Health and Safety performance, ensuring continuous improvement on safety standards, systems, and procedures, and implementing legislative compliance and best practices.

    Job Description
    Workplace Safety (and Education):

    • Provides insights, information, and Support to and advises Management on the Health Safety Environment implications of corporate strategy options and planned imperatives.
    • Advises management on the cost and effectiveness of safety and health programs
    • Ensures, in accordance with the Corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review, and auditing of the Company HSE Systems.
    • Assists the Sales, Maintenance, and Operations Departments in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work.
    • Ensure Process safety inspections on equipment (e.g. Flanges & valves for leakage, sump tank to prevent overfill), etc.
    • Ensure availability of process information system e.g. inventory of process fluids (liquid & gases); MSDS; Up-to-date PFDs & PIDs etc
    • Liaise with process owners to ensure the mechanical integrity of process equipment & machinery
    • Assure operational process safety during contractors’ work e g. Mechanical isolation and depressurization before work execution (liaison with maintenance or production) Hot work; Confined space; PTW; Excavation; LOTO.
    • Liaises with heads of divisions and departments to drive adoption and compliance with HSE standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Participate in all in-house process technical safety reviews (HAZOP, Pre-Start-up reviews, Fire Safety Reviews, S-RBI, IPF, bowtie), ensuring that there is no Process Safety Gap in Process Safety risk identification and eliminated or mitigated.
    • Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provides for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
    • Develop tools and processes to support the embedding of Process Safety culture and Process Safety as a way of work. This ensures that Asset leadership in Process safety is visible whilst supporting objectives and targets for process safety management of the Asset with clear expectations and accountabilities.
    • Develop and monitor the HSE annual plan to ensure its implementation.
    • Support the Monitoring and reporting of Process safety leading and lagging indicators. Participate in the annual review of Process Safety risk in line with Management review to address specific process safety issues and reflect the effectiveness of the key controls/processes.
    • Oversees the assessment of HSE needs and related equipment acquisition.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Science / Engineering or equivalent.
    • Additional professional qualifications in HSE and Process Safety Management Systems are a must.
    • IOSH membership or similar association.
    • Competency certification in Lead Auditor OHSAS 18001 or relevant certification.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years of HSE process technology experience in the Oil and Gas industry or Asset Integrity/Reliability function or plant safety in plant operations.
    • Excellent Technical Authority (TA-3 Ready) in Process Safety, Technical Safety, or other Process-related discipline is a must.
    • Member of globally recognized professional associations such as the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) is an added advantage.
    • Experience creating and managing a budget including resource allocation and priority setting.

    Essential Competencies and Skills:

    • Applied and excellent knowledge of Process Safety Management is a must.
    • Knowledge of legal health and safety guidelines.
    • Knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
    • Excellent organizational and motivational skills.

    Head, Automation and Instrumentation

    Job Description

    • Oversee the programming of new automated components to the terminal operations processes.
    • Develop and maintain clear and accurate documentation of automation equipment or processes.
    • Oversee the effective running and operations of the Terminal Automation System (TAS).
    • Design, configure, integrate, and implement process control solutions at the terminal.
    • Develop P&IDs and loop descriptions for various plants, processes, and/or equipment.
    • Develop control system validation/testing protocols.
    • Write reports for senior colleagues outlining new concepts, testing outcomes, and ongoing efficiency.
    • Train staff where necessary – typically after implementing new processes or equipment, or making changes to existing ones.
    • Troubleshoot automated processes or equipment when errors occur and manage repair efforts to ensure minimal downtime to terminal operations.
    • Design, test, and document PLC and HMI software.
    • Identify new opportunities for automation within the terminal process.
    • Design new automation equipment or processes.
    • Simulate and test automation processes or equipment to ensure they function as desired.
    • Maintain the terminal automation system (TAS) in efficient working conditions.
    • Provide early warning /fault detection oversight on the smooth operation of the terminal.
    • Track and investigate incidents and identify root causes as well as lessons to be learnt and maintain incident management log for all incidents and resolutions for known errors.
    • Collaborate with the Shipping and Operations Department and obtain required regulatory approvals in a timely manner to facilitate receipt of petroleum products by vessel.
    • Implement measures to ensure seamless and safe receipt, storage, handling, and despatch of products in the terminal.
    • Monitor deployed CCTV cameras for terminal security and surveillance purposes and report suspicious incidents.
    • Maintain adequate and effective perimeter coverage for deployed CCTV cameras.
    • Maintain security infrastructure.
    • Collaborate with other departments (Audit and Investigations, Risk Management, etc.) to ensure accurate accounting for in-tank products.
    • Prepare regular system-generated stock management and reconciliation reports (e.g., daily weekly, and monthly truck-out reports, product movement reconciliation, and material loss analysis, amongst others.

    Qualifications, Experiences, and Skills

    • Master's Degree in any of the following disciplines: Information Technology, Computer Science / Engineering, or Business Information Technology
    • Minimum of B.Sc. Second Class Honours (Upper Division) / HND Upper Credit in Electrical Engineering or Automation / Instrumentation courses
    • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in an operating engineering environment and at least four (4) years in a supervisory role
    • Experience working with a variety of control systems including DDC, DCS, and PLCs (Direct Digital Control, Distributed Control System, Programmable Logic Controller)
    • Experience designing and programming control systems with an emphasis on PLCs, SCADA, or HMI systems (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Human Machine Interface)
    • Working knowledge of Operations management principles and processes.
    • Strongknowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment Regulations, good practice, and policy implementation.
