    QAQC – Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

    Job Summary

    The Instrumentation Engineer will design and develop new devices and enhance or redesign older devices used to control electronic or mechanical systems.  Analyzes current equipment; identifies areas of inefficiency and needs for improvement; designs and develops instrumentation to meet those needs. Collaborates with other engineers to develop accurate, efficient equipment and instrumentation in accordance with safety and usability standards and client expectations

    Responsibilities

    • As a Station/Facility Electrical Engineer, you will take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution with minimum or no supervision;
    • In addition, you may have the opportunity to travel to client/vendors sites as needed;
    • You will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering issues.
    • Ensures that electrical safety is followed, help with employees’ skills development;
    • Provide input to the development of the annual maintenance budget and ensure adherence to it;
    • Participates in the process for unplanned breaks, shut-downs and is responsible for action plans for automation or electrical issues or faults;
    • Decides shut down works in cooperation with mechanical team leader, and technical service leaders.
    • Data gathering, Developing project concepts, Construction inspections & administration;
    • Develop test plans and protocols, and execute prototype testing and formal design verification testing;
    • Design and/or lead design of printed circuit assemblies and electromechanical assemblies, including testing and troubleshooting
    • Perform verification activities (both simulation and hardware test) to satisfy the set-objectives
    • Define hardware requirements and perform validation
    • Determine and maintain adequate stock of spare parts for assigned equipment
    • Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks;
    • Develop and maintain documentation for specifications, designs, test plans and reports for inclusion in As-built Design History Files;
    • Consult with vendors and suppliers;
    • Debug and troubleshoot down to board level. This will include board bring up;
    • Establish and follow methodologies;
    • Plan and execute project tasks – digital and analog design;
    • Present Reports to leadership and Owners as defined in contract.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Automation or Related Field
    • COREN License; 
    • NSE
    • Familiarity with ANSI/IEEE/NEMA standards as they relate to substation design. This includes the National Electrical Safety Code (ANSI – C2).
    • 6 or more years’ experience in the design of Medium Voltage Power Systems
    • 10+ years of experience within the oil and gas industry or a highly regulated industry

    Supply Chain Coordinator

    Job Summary

    • Excellent appreciation of the use of supply chain ERPs: sourcing and purchase-to-pay tools.
    • Good knowledge of contracts and contracting principles. • Demonstrate ability to motivate and develop a team.

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the development and use of documented policies and procedures for the procurement and supply function and ensure their application by colleagues and stakeholders.
    • Manage any conflict of interest that may arise with stakeholders to ensure the objectives of procurement and supply are prioritized.
    • Monitor the work of internal stakeholders to ensure that the codes of ethics in procurement and supply are upheld.
    • Advise internal stakeholders of the procedures that apply to the separation and segregation of duties in performing roles in procurement to prevent fraud and error. 
    • Liaise with stakeholders to mitigate the impact of supply chain disruptions on the organization and its customers and suppliers. 
    • Collate sources of information to estimate the breakdown of direct and indirect costs for goods and services and use the information to prepare budgets or to negotiate prices.
    • Develop and effectively present business cases to justify major expenditures. Advise colleagues and other stakeholders of the contents and outcomes of business cases. 
    • Advise internal stakeholders on the operation of financial budgets and assess the causes of variances compared with planned expenditures related to the procurement of goods or services.
    • Select appropriate contract terms for the supply of goods and services and provide advice about these to colleagues and other internal stakeholders. 
    • Create a selection and award criteria appropriate to the procurement proposing any necessary weightings for the criteria. Update data on financial standing and credit ratings during the whole life of contracts and take actions to mitigate financial risks.
    • Recognize the importance of compliance with organizational processes and simultaneously take actions to achieve added value solutions with suppliers or internal stakeholders.
    • Formulate SMART targets for supplier performance and agree on their application with suppliers and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure that Supplier relationship management processes and improvement plans are proactively executed.
    • Evaluate the financial, commercial, and technical capabilities of potential suppliers.
    • Evaluate the potential risks that goods and services may be subjected to and liaise with Suppliers and stakeholders to create and implement plans to mitigate the adverse effects of these risks.
    • Monitor the supply of goods and services to ensure that required performance standards and KPIs are achieved and identify where changes in the contract or other changes are required, taking actions to implement them.
    • Advise on sustainable procurement and ensure compliance with adopted standards such as ISO 20400 sustainable procurement. 
    • Work with stakeholders to eliminate bribery, corruption, and fraud in OilServ’s supply chain.
    • Promote ethical and sustainable procurement in the organization and its supply chain. 
    • Set standards for dealing with suppliers to ensure that regulations relating to bribery and corruption are upheld. 
    • Work with cross-functional teams and suppliers to create data and reporting that improves spending transparency and supports informed decision-making. Be able to resolve issues where the data gathered is not sufficient. 
    • Evaluate historical and forecasted data related to categories of spend to help formulate options and make recommendations to achieve the best value outcomes.
    • Monitor and evaluate developments in legal aspects that affect sourcing decisions, explaining the implications to colleagues and other internal stakeholders.
    • Analyze the legal and commercial implications relating to the formation of contracts and explain these to colleagues and other stakeholders. 
    • Apply relevant flow-down requirements in the supply chain.
    • Establish and review key milestones and implement appropriate risk management actions.
    • Evaluate the use of make-or-buy sourcing strategies, considering core competencies, and identify the critical success factors for the outsourcing or insourcing of work or services.
    • Develop and manage a procurement plan.
    • Explore opportunities of globalization: offshoring, low-cost country sourcing, etc., without compromising on local content requirements.
    • Create risk assessments, registers, or other risk evaluation tools and agree on actions to mitigate risks with suppliers and other stakeholders.
    • Promote positive working relationships by building on the different strengths of people in the team.
    • Support the development of individuals’ knowledge, capabilities, and skills to further the aims of procurement and supply. 
    • Support the professional development of team members, motivate, and enhance their performance. 
    • Develop and implement plans for the training and development of staff and other stakeholders to further the organization’s capabilities in procurement and supply. 

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the procurement function
    • Must be an MCIPS – Completed level 6
