    Loan Executive

    About the Job

    • We are currently expanding our team and we are looking for a Loan recovery Executive to manage the day-to-day operations of the Shecluded debt recovery portfolio.
    • Our ideal candidate is able to identify, evaluate and monitor non-performing loan accounts, implement a recovery action plan to achieve timely and maximum recovery at minimal costs and turn-around time.
    • This role will be responsible for complete commercial debt recovery from all Shecluded clients, and will work closely with other regulatory and intelligence agencies (Police, credit bureau etc.)

    Job Responsibilities

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the debt recovery team, specifically focusing on both the pre and post-litigation matters.
    • Run caseloads of debt recovery matters.
    • Contribute to business development activities for the department, including working on client pitches and tenders. 
    • Ensure financial targets are met within the department, both on a personal and team level. 
    • Assist with the recruitment process for new members of the team.
    • Ensure that all firm-wide and departmental SLAs and procedures are followed.
    • Liaise directly with larger commercial clients where necessary and being their day-to-day contact.
    • Develop bespoke debt recovery paths for commercial clients.
    • Attend client meetings on a quarterly and 6-monthly basis. Provide in-depth client reports both internally and externally.
    • Oversee the financial administration for the department. Ensuring billing is carried out in line with agreed structures with each client.

    Qualifications

    • Our Loan Recovery Executive should hold a BSc. Degree in Economics, Finance, Social Science, or other relevant fields.
    • Certification in Credit Management / Debt Collection will be an added advantage.
    • 2 - 3 years experience in debt recovery.
    • Have prior commercial, legal and debt recovery experience.
    • Have a track record of presenting data according to management requirements and reporting on key performance indicators (both for yourself and on behalf of a team).
    • Have excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines with your caseloads.
    • Have an excellent knowledge of legal, IT systems and processes.
    • Be a team player and able to lead others.
    • Certification in Credit Management / Debt Collection will be an added advantage.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Manage and oversee the accounting team.

    • Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.

    • Comply with all company, local/state/federal/Industry accounting and financial regulations.
    • Compile, analyze, and report financial data including weekly cash flow statements, and controlling expenditure and cash flow.
    • Create periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
    • Prepare the monthly Management account, Board reports, profit and loss, and balance sheet reports and presenting data to key stakeholders including, Board members, investors, regulators, and other entities.
    • Maintain accurate financial records.
    • Perform audits and resolving discrepancies.
    • Keep informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
    • Assist management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.

    Qualifications

    • B.Sc in Accounting, ACA.
    • 8 years plus in Finance / Accounting experience.
    • Familiar with accounting systems / ERP software.
    • Business acumen.
    • Strong mathematical and quantitative skills.
    • Monitoring spending and budgets.
    • A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Lead our existing Operations (product development, sales, expansions and community management) and Finance teams to achieve company goals; partner with our leaders to continue building out these teams and actively measure performance.
    • Drive the team to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, business goals and objectives.
    • Work with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, corporate and operational strategy for Shecluded.
    • Liaise and manage relationships with key stakeholders including board members, investors, regulators, key industries and influencers.
    • Create operations and structure by supporting the day-to-day delivery of Shecluded’s products and services.
    • Execute strategies developed by top management and board team.
    • Develop and maintain a sound plan for the organization by establishing policies to ensure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession for those functions/business units falling under his/her responsibility.
    • Motivate and lead a high-performance management team; attract and retain required members of the executive team not currently in place; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.
    • Recommend the yearly budget for board approval and prudently manage the company's resources within the budgetary provisions.
    • Ensure the timely implementation of Board and Executive Management meeting decisions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing required.
    • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in strategic planning, Information Technology, Business Management, corporate leadership, and financial decision-making.
    • Masters of Business Administration is an added advantage.
    • Preferably evolving in a FinTech environment over the past 5 years.
    • Must have excellent leadership skills, business acumen and ability to effectively manage, lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team.
    • They must excel at strategic thinking, be open to new perspectives and better ways to do things; and be creative, a visionary, and manage innovation well.
    • Must be results-driven.
    • Must have superior decision-making skills.
