Job Summary

• The site supervisor will be responsible for offering advice in the planning, coordination and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects.
• He must be able to solve technical issues, provide advice, manage and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Managing construction activities and tasks.
• Ensuring equipment and procedures comply with safety regulations.
• Assessing and managing safety hazards.
• Ensuring appropriate site rules and welfare facilities are in place.
• Carrying out regular inspections.
• Overseeing building work.
• Surveying sites like setting out, alignments, levels etc.
• Making sure specifications are met on site.
• Solving problems and providing technical advice.
• Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings.

Qulifications

• HND/BSc in Relevant field
• 5-7 years’ experience as a site supervisor
• Strong project management abilities
• Exemplary analytic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Must have a proven ability to plan I lead projects and must be able to work under pressure
• Must have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to work in a multidisciplinary and multi-tasking team
• Must be result oriented and committed to company goals.

Skills:

• The ability to communicate with, motivate, and if necessary discipline the workforce.
• The ability to understand drawings and other contract documents.
• A good understanding of safety procedures.
• First aid training.
• Organizational skills.
• The ability to mediate to resolve issues.
• An understanding of welfare and environmental issues.
• An understanding of occupational health and behavioural safety issues.

Job Description

• HSE officer will be responsible for development, implementation, and enforcement of policies that reduce the risk of accidents.
• The safety officer is also responsible for keeping policies up to date, meeting the latest standards, and establishing new ones from time to time as more and newer risks are discovered.
• He(s) is in charge of site inspections and hazards identification as well as establishing procedures and policies to overcome those hazardous situations.
• Inspection of broken equipment, defective tools, and other potential hazards.
• Determine type of personal protective equipment (PPE) is needed and ensure workers are trained how to operate and use tools and equipment.
• Conduct safety investigations.
• Provide frequent safety training to all site workers and general construction team.
• Perform emergency response drills
• Coordinate registration and removal of hazardous waste
• Arrange for OSHA-mandated testing and/or evaluations

Requirements

• Minimum of HND or its equivalent in Engineering.
• Min of 5-7 years of experience as an HSE PERSONNEL in Major Construction Companies
• Vast knowledge of the Construction process

Salary
N180,000/Month.
