    Field Operations Supervisor (Asset Operations)

    Academics

    • OND/HND or B.Eng in any Engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical/Electrical/ Instrumentation/Chemical/& Petroleum Engineering).

    Work Experience

    • Minimum of 8 years working as a field operations support with hands-on or supervisory discipline experience.
    • Membership of other professional bodies would be considered an added advantage.

    Skills (Added advantage)

    • Ability to read and interpret process engineering flow schemes (PEFS) and process drawings.
    • Skill level knowledge in running/managing in permit coordination.
    • Basic understanding of Distributed control system, preferably Emerson Delta-V.

    Roles and Responsibilities.

    The Field Operator will be responsible for the following:

    • Operate oil and gas facilities and associated assets safely and efficiently in compliance with stipulated guidelines.
    • Deliver simple and complex activities in the plant.
    • Manage the shutdown permit and isolation management process.
    • Apply the emergency response procedure where and when necessary.
    • Serves as PTW signatory.
    • Apply the HSSE policy, legislations applicable to crude oil production and export.
    • Adhere to plant operational procedures.
    • Monitor, control and record production rates and performance.
    • Start-up wells and facilities (hot and cold start).
    • Perform basic troubleshooting on wells and facilities to ensure stability.
    • Perform daily first line monitoring of process parameters and variables.
    • Gather daily production data, determine the production performance.
    • Participate in console review meeting, Daily notification and YTT review meeting.
    • Prepare daily production report (DPR).
    • Execute daily communication and Shift handover.
    • Ensure optimized chemical injection rates are followed as advised.
    • Prepare equipment for maintenance interventions plant isolation etc.
    • Collaborate with other disciplines to execute planned activities.
    • Prepare the wells and facilities/equipment for (re) commencement of production/processing.
    • Perform monthly well test and sampling of producing wells.
    • Perform periodic well integrity assurance tasks and activities.
    • Supervise preparation of equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, steaming, and other
    • procedures as required.

    Work Cycle

    • The work location is field based.
    • The job activity period is daily on 12-hour (7am to7pm) routine over a 21-day period.
    • There is a standard 3-weeks on and 3-weeks off schedule.
    • The successful candidate will manage own absences with his/her contractor for suitable qualified covers.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    The Electrical technician will be responsible for the following:

    • Provide planned activities to the supervisor, perform quality control duties, identify contractor noncompliance with HSE standards, ensure availability for intervention activities, and maintain a daily log of activities from job sites, as reported by QA/QC Engineers.
    • Maintains all HV/LV equipment, UPSs, protection relays, earthing, and lightning strike systems.
    • Knowledge of Electrical controls and monitoring systems
    • Skilled in maintenance of UPS systems
    • Strong communication and interface management skills when dealing with multiple parties, including Government regulators.
    • Provide support in decommissioning, repair, installation, and commissioning of black gas generators, UPS

    • Asset Care routine to ensure PM/CM close-out and Integrity of Asset maintained.
    • Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • The PACO/Instrumentation technician will be responsible for the following:
    • Carryout troubleshooting, perform diagnostics on instrument loops and repairs.
    • Perform Installation and calibration of field instruments.
    • Conduct all non-routine and potentially hazardous routine jobs under the Permit-To-Work System.
    • Preparing Maintenance Job Routines (MJRs) and work packets, assessing current operating and maintenance procedures, and making recommendations as required.
    • Identifying vendor support requirements for equipment maintenance and providing technical support for repairing malfunctioning equipment, such as crude transfer pumps.
    • Liaise with OEMs for troubleshooting, spare parts, field technical supports, etc.
    • Support the maintenance (operation) team in all troubleshooting exercises.
    • Carry out maintenance routine activities in line with company standards, and local and international standards.
    • Participate in equipment failure RCA (Root Cause Analysis), investigation, and improvement initiatives.
    • Onsite responsibility for safe supervision during work execution.
    • Ensure performance assurance and proactive health checks of the associated components of the
    • Robertshaw Panel integrated Control, Safety Instrumented and Fire & Gas Systems.
    • Ensure periodic health checks on Human Machine Interface workstations and Servers. Systems fault diagnosis and recovery.
    • Access and interpret Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID); Cause and Effects Matrix (C&E);
    • Process Flow Scheme (PFS); Functional Logic Diagram (FLD); Instrument Loop Drawings (ILD) and Process
    • Engineering Flow Scheme (PEFS) required for fault tracing and issues resolutions.
    • Work closely with service Contractor(s) towards safe delivery of vendor-based maintenance jobs.
    • Initiate and follow up with spares procurement towards expedited delivery for maintenance execution.
    • Ensure technical integrity of assets through Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities, quality assurance and performance standard verification of safety critical equipment.
    • Ensure field instrumentation availability and reliability towards meeting business targets on hydrocarbon processing and export operations.
    • Maintain Systems availability for the continuous operation of the facility.
    • Identifying critical spares and follow-up ordering and delivery.
    • Integrate with other disciplines to achieve Asset integrity on continuous basis.
    • Promotes site safety and continuous hazard identification, mitigation, and close-out.
    • Other assignments for continuous improvements as exigent.

    • Repair, installation, and maintenance of Pumps, static and rotating equipment.
    • Use of diagnostic tools and mechanical hand tools for fault tracing, vibration detection and activity executions.
    • Asset Care routine to ensure PM/CM close-out and Integrity of Asset maintained.
    • Work preparations and material staging for work executions.
    • Routine machinery and equipment servicing
    • Daily parameter logging, records and mechanical lubricants management.
    • Routine fabrication using welding tools and materials.
    • Machining activities: lathe, grinding, drilling, dicing etc.
    • Job Risk Assessments / Permit to Work preparation.
    • Identifying critical spares and follow-up ordering and delivery.
    • Flange breaks, positive isolation, vessel de-sanding activities
    • Promotes site safety and continuous hazard identification, mitigation and close-out.
    • Work closely with service Contractor(s) towards safe delivery of vendor-based maintenance jobs.
    • Other assignments for continuous improvements as exigent.
