    Electrical Preparator

    Mission
    Operations:

    • The Electrical Preparator studies, prepares the maintenance plan and supports the reliability engineering deliverables execution on the BV ELEC Triennal Inspection Work Package.

    Main Activities

    • Promote and apply QHSSE rules and procedures.
      • Spie QHSSE rules.
      • Customer QHSSE rules
    • Produce maintenance deliverables according to project contract and scope of work.
    • Be familiar with all applicable general specifications and related engineering standards.
    • Coordinate maintenance activities at site.

    Specific Activities: 

    • Participate in the preparation of commercial package and presentations for technical presentation.

    Profile
    Prerequisites to access to the position: 

    • 6 years experience in maintenance services.

    Knowledge requirements:

    • Oil and gas / petrochemical processes knowledge.
    • Maintenance engineering environment.
    • English - working level (written and spoken).
    • HSE and Ethics.

    Soft Skills Required:

    • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

    PLC Specialist (Triconex) - M/F

    Job Description

    • In this context, we are looking for competent and passionate professionals for positions of PLC Specialist (Triconex) M/F to join its team located in Nigeria.

    Missions

    • Direct responsibility for the maintenance, operation and configuration of the hardware and software of the Akpo Safety Instrumented System (Schneider Electric Triconex System) subsystem of the Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS).
    • Partial responsibility for the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and associated devices of all Packages within the AKPO Industrial Information System (SII).
    • Maintain, operate and perform routine tasks on the Process Safety System (PSS), Fire and Gas System (FGS) and Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) of the Triconex Safety Instrumented System.
    • Apply and manage maintenance inhibitions in the systems as requested, directed and controlled by COMPANY rules and procedures. Register and maintain all such inhibitions on the AKPO Inhibition Tool database as par COMPANY rules.
    • Prepare with the ICSS Adminstrator preventive and corrective actions and modifications of the Control Systems under his responsibility.
    • Manage and document in technical reports, interventions using the CMIMS and work packs provided by the planning team.
    • Follow up the parameter values and alarms in the concerned systems under his responsibility and perform trouble shooting if required.
    • Maintain an accurate and auditable log of all system faults and inhibits (Short term and long term).
    • Identify, in the preparatory stage of maintenance works, any sensitive operation and ensure that a proper assessment of the risks involved is carried out beforehand.
    • Review and assure that all Software Modifications and corrective actions are  validated by COMPANY and all impacted documentations are updated after implementation.

    Profile

    • 6 years or more experience.
    • Knowledge of the oil and gas treatment process, installations and equipment.
    • Advanced knowledge and skill in Schneider's Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems.
    • Knowledge of general instrumentation concepts, field devices (sensors and final elements), instrument loops, etc.
    • Awareness  of  Emerson's  DeltaV  Process  Control  System,  Siemens, SIMATIC  Industrial  Automation Systems  and  Allen Bradley's ControlLogix System is an added advantage.

    Required Authorisations:

    • 6 years experience in the field of Control and Safety Systems and a minimum of 3 years as a Specialist in Control and Safety systems in the Oil and Gas / Petrochemical industry.
    • Awareness of SAP CMIMS or similar.
    • Awareness of Operator Training Simulators.

    Language:

    Missions

    • Responsible of running and monitoring of turbo-generators and turbo Compressors.

    • Coordination with Rolls Royce site representative.

    Qualification:

    • Minimum qualification level required is HNC or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.

    Professional Experience:

    • At least 10 years oil and gas industry experience in relevant maintenance role.
    • At least 5 years in a significant lead technician role with demonstrated skills to successfully implement maintenance best practices
    • Fluency in English, both written and oral, with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated safety leadership and personnel management skills.
    • Culturally aware and experience in working with multi-national workforces.

    Required Authorisations:

    • BOSIET Certificate.
    • Specific professional knowledge: CMIMS : SAP/R3
    • Mechanical Specific: Aero Derivative Gas Generators (Rolls Royce RB211 preferably), Compressors, Firewater pumps, HP
    • Barrel pumps, Submersible water pumps, Process and Utilities Valves (all types), Diesel Generators, etc.,

    PLC Technician

    Job Description
    Operations: 

    • PLC technician reports to and supports the ICSS Supervisor onboard.
    • Responsible for troubleshooting, data & program back-ups, installing inhibitions (defeats) & removing inhibitions (defeats) where required due to planned or corrective maintenance activities and to ensure the continued operation of the DCS system and facility.
    • Assists ICSS supervisor with engineering updates & / or code correctives.
    • Provides assistance to operations and maintenance teams during troubleshooting through simulations, control loops and feedback.

    Profile

    • Higher National Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical / Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
    • Minimum of 6 years experience in the maintenance field on offshore oil and gas installations.
    • Experience in PLC, Allen Bradley, Siemens, ladder logic systems etc. plus related communication interfaces, protocols and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) - and all Machine Monitoring Systems (Bentley Nevada) including GE System 1.
    • Documented training in Instrumentation & Controls.
