At Klasha, we believe that consumers in Africa should have the same frictionless access to the goods they want regardless of their geographic location. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented NYSC accounting graduate to support our finance and accounting department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing various accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily reconciliation of transactions from various payment platforms.
Identify discrepancies, investigate causes, and rectify or escalate issues as required.
Maintain an updated knowledge of the company's products, services, and customer service policies.
Understand the foreign exchange market and the impact of currency fluctuations on the reconciliation process.
Work closely with the Finance team to resolve reconciliation queries.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Prepare and present reports detailing reconciliation results.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve reconciliation processes and systems.
Provide recommendations for system improvements to enhance financial efficiency and reduce reconciliation issues.
Provide support to the broader finance team as needed.
Qualifications:
Must be am Accounting graduate currently enrolled in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
Strong passion for starting a career in accounting and finance.
Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Eager to learn and develop your skills in a dynamic work environment.
Basic to intermediate understanding of financial software and databases.
Strong communication skills in English, both in writing and verbally.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging work environment.
