WebRTC Engineer at Mactavis Technologies Ltd

We are looking to hire an experienced WebRTC developer to join our team. You will work with other Developers and Product Managers throughout the software development life cycle. In this role, you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. Your goal will be to build efficient programs and systems that serve user needs.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain WebRTC-based infrastructure.
• Increase capacity of WebRTC sessions to serve thousands of concurrent peers.
• Employ congestion control and simulcast to deliver a high-quality streaming experience.
• Improve system resiliency to network fluctuations and failures.
• Work closely with multi-discipline teams to upgrade and improve video/audio real-time solutions.
• Work to develop analysis tools to diagnose and improve video/audio quality.
• Produce scalable, maintainable, and test-driven Java/JavaScript code in a fast-paced environment
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with compiled languages such as Node, C++, or others
• 2+ years of experience building and operating voice and video infrastructure at scale on AWS, gcloud, Azure or others.
• Knowledge of WebRTC technologies (TURN, STUN, ICE, and audio/video codecs)
• Experience building production-grade WebRTC based services.
• Experience with network protocols (HTTP, TCP/UDP, Websockets)
• Experience with media protocols such as RTMP, HLS, DASH
• Experience with many-to-many real-time low-latency media conferencing topologies and components such as SFUs.
