Vice President of Commercial Operations at CARS45 Limited

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for implementation of the roadmap for retail, in particular new product development in the centers;
• Work closely with stakeholders and cross functional teams across retail and online to develop requirements aligned to the strategy, overseeing product strategy, working closely with dev teams and ensuring business readiness;
• Work directly with the VP - Retail & the management team to implement the creation of retail strategy and key retail projects;
• Review and identify retail operational improvements and come up with a hands-on strategy to improve operations, ensure the improvements lead to sales and operational efficiencies and are fit for purpose across all Cars45 business whilst ensuring they comply and meet statutory requirements, ensuring minimum risk to staff and the business;
• Take a lead role in building a strong retail operations team; spending time supporting the Commercial Operations & Retail & Storage team;
• Ensure the team meets predetermined KPIs as well as assigned sales targets;
• Work with the Purchasing and the Sales teams to ensure sales processes are continuously evaluated and improved to drive optimal efficiency;
• Any other role as assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

We believe that you will succeed better if you possess the following:

• HND or BSC in Business Administration, Sales, Economics or any related field;
• 4 - 6 years post NYSC experience, 1 of which should be in a managerial position;
• Experience in sales, commercials, retail operations and finance;
• Experience managing a team of 100+ people and a direct reporting of 10+ people.
• Excellent knowledge about cars and their various models with a thorough understanding of the end user/ car trading market
• Experience building business plans, modeling, business dev and b2b/ b2c channel;
• Experience in business dev, project management and the use of Microsoft tools;
• Working exposure with a tech enabled retail business would be an added advantage.
