    Ticketing & Reservation Officer

    TICKETING & RESERVATION OFFICER

    A focused and hardworking Ticketing & Reservation Officer is urgently required in a Travels and Tours Company.

    Details of the required qualifications, skills and experience is as contained below:

    • Minimum of a B.SC/HND Qualification
    • Proficiency in the use of the three (3) GDS is a must especially Amadeus.
    • Minimum of five (5) years’ working experience in a Travels and Tours Company
    • Certification in Travels and Tourism is a plus.
    • Efficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
    • Good Analytical Skills
    • A Positive attitude and a growth mindset.
    • Must be within Island and Yaba Environs

    Incumbent responsibilities include but not limited to

    • Acquiring and managing customers to meet the business goals.
    • Research various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews etc.
    • Organize travel arrangements from beginning to end, through booking tickets and hotel accommodation, securing rental transportation, etc.
    • Must be able to monitor bookings, clear queues regularly and prevent ADMS.
    • Supply travellers with pertinent information, travel updates and useful travel/holiday material (guides, maps, event programs etc)
    • Collect deposits and balance payments from passengers.
    • Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility for refunds base on ticket rules.
    • Create and update electronic records of clients.
    • Liaise with sales and marketing to create attractive offers.
    • Arrange travel for business and vacation customers.
    • Determine and satisfy customers’ needs and preferences, such as schedules, destinations and costs
    • Plan and arrange tour packages suitable for prospective customers.
    • Be efficient in fare management and interpretation of ticketing rules.
    • Must be able to work with Amadeus, Sabre and Galileo efficiently and can develop beneficial business relationship with all the GDS and airlines in the best interest of the company.
    • Make alternative booking arrangements if changes any arise before or during the trip.
    • Should be willing to work 24 hours whenever the need arises and available to do any other job as may be assigned by management.
    • To be suitable for this position, applicant must not be running any programme or course currently and should not have the plan to for at least after 2 years.
