    Technical Sales Representative (Business Development)

    Position Overview:

    • As a Technical Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and effectively communicating the technical aspects of our products/services.
    • This position requires a combination of technical knowledge, sales expertise, and excellent communication skills.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Identify and Qualify Leads: Research and identify potential clients, assess their needs, and qualify them as sales opportunities.
    • Technical Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their technical requirements and provide knowledgeable insights into how our products/services can meet their needs.
    • Product Demonstration: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the technical features and benefits of our offerings.
    • Proposal Development: Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to develop comprehensive proposals that address client requirements and highlight the value of our solutions.
    • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders.
    • Sales Pipeline Management: Effectively manage the sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and closures in a CRM system.
    • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential business opportunities.

    Qualifications and Experience Required.

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in business development or sales roles within the maritime industry, with a strong understanding of the Nigerian maritime market and regulatory environment (Minimum of 8 years) with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Strong technical acumen and the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.
    • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
    • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
    • Strong research and analytical skills to identify business opportunities, assess market trends, and develop targeted strategies.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated approach to achieving targets and objectives.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
