Strategy Manager - Shipping & Logistics at Sunbeth Global Concepts (SGC)

The Strategy Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive growth, operational efficiency, and competitive positioning for the shipping and logistics business. This role combines deep industry knowledge with strategic planning, data analysis, and execution oversight, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the company’s long-term vision.

Job Details

Strategic Planning & Execution

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive 3- to 5-year strategic roadmap for the business.
• Identify market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to shape business priorities.
• Lead annual strategic planning process and mid-year reviews.

Business Growth & Market Expansion

• Identify and evaluate new market entry opportunities, partnerships, or acquisitions.
• Support business development efforts by aligning strategy with commercial initiatives.
• Lead feasibility assessments and go-to-market planning for new services, geographies, or client segments.

Performance & Operational Improvement

• Collaborate with operations and commercial teams to identify and implement cost optimization and efficiency initiatives.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend course corrections.
• Support digital transformation and process improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

• Prepare board-level reports, business cases, and executive updates.
• Support investor relations, regulatory compliance, and external stakeholder communications.
• Facilitate strategic workshops and alignment meetings with leadership.

 Research & Competitive Intelligence

• Conduct industry research and benchmarking to keep leadership informed of trends and threats.
• Monitor competitor activities and regulatory developments in the shipping and logistics markets

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related field (Master’s/MBA is an added advantage).
• Minimum of 7–10 years' experience in strategy, business development, or management consulting, preferably in the shipping, logistics, or supply chain industry.
• Professional certification, Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria (Chartered) (ISMNC), International Association for Strategy Professionals (IASP) -
