Senior Pharmacy Specialist at Howard University Global Initiative Nigeria (HUGIN)

Job Description

• The Senior Pharmacy Specialist will provide leadership in strengthening pharmacy systems in Cross River State in Nigeria in a sustainable and integrated manner.
• S/he will provide sound technical guidance on all project's pharmacy-related activities in the state thereby strengthening the pharmacy system in a sustainable and integrated manner. S/he will report to the State Pharmacy Manager.

Minimum Requirement Standards

• B.Pharm and MS in Clinical Pharmacy with 7 years relevant experience with international pharmacy development programs with at least 5 years supervisory experience.
• A good working experience of Differentiated Service Delivery (DSD) of HIV/AIDS services, pharmacovigilance monitoring as well as Decentralized Drug Delivery (DDD) models of ART medications refill services will be an added advantage.

Job Circumstances:

• The job involves at least 30% local travel at short notice.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to extend working hours to meet deadlines and at short notice.
• Ability to function effectively in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural
• environment to produce excellent results under pressure.
• Ability to use key computing applications e.g., MS Office Suite etc. and knowledge of different database (DHIS or LAMIS) is a plus.
