Retail Buyer at FastFast

The role 

We seek to fill the role of Retail Buyer for our online store that aims to revolutionise how people shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the sourcing, supply and inventory management of FMCG products in assigned categories. Successful candidates will be working with the Product Sourcing Lead to ensure that our inventory is always optimized. 

 Key responsibilities  

• Identify and source high turnover products, procuring at optimal cost consistently. 
• Manage stock levels to minimize waste to an absolute minimum. 
• Evaluate supplier options according to price and quality to identify the best choice. 
• Ensure the timely delivery of products in compliance with the agreed SLAs. 
• Forge and maintain trust relationships with suppliers for mutual growth. 
• Identify and manage risks within the supply chain. 
• Analyse market trends to make insightful buying decisions. 

 Requirements 

• Minimum of 3 years as a buyer, procurement specialist or a category manager in a leading supermarket/e-commerce platform. 
• Good knowledge of different brands, manufacturers, and distributors. 
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Critical thinking, analytical, numerical skills. 
• Familiarity with market research, data analysis and forecasting. 
• Proficiency in Office 365.
