The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement activities within the company. This includes sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that procurement processes are efficient and cost-effective.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and a strategic mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors/suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions. Ensure that contracts are compliant with company policies and regulations.
Cost Management: Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce overall costs. Monitor and analyze procurement spend to identify areas for improvement.
Procurement Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and technology solutions to streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement activities, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and compliance concerns. Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential risks.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies, including ethical sourcing practices, environmental standards, and diversity initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Solid understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor/supplier management principles.
Proficiency in procurement software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, e-procurement tools).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
