Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the Nutrition Agronomist are as follows:

• Visiting fields to collect seeds, leaves, plant and soil samples and testing samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases and other changes.
• Keeping detailed records regarding fields, crops and samples.
• Generating reports and presenting findings to management.
• Study plants and soil in order to develop better techniques, improve crop yields and solve nutritional issues for the sugar cane.
• We have over 5000 hectares of planted sugar cane, must be able to visit fields on daily basis to asses nutrition needs of the crops.
• Any other duties a maybe required by the organization.

Educational Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Agronomist in an agricultural set-up, preferably a sugar cane growing establishment.
• B.Sc Degree in Agronomy or Agriculture.

Skills and Requirements

• The Agronomist must be able to study soil, plants, seed materials and products to better understand crop needs and develop more effective and efficient farming practices.
• They should be able to conduct research, take sample tests and solve complex problems.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
• Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office and diagnostic scientific Software.
• Strong research, decision making, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Must be able to drive and have a valid driver’s license
• Must be residing or willing to move to Bacita LGA in Kwara State.
