Job Overview

• We are searching for an enthusiastic and committed Mathematics Teacher to inspire and educate our students.
• As a Mathematics Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a love for math, nurturing problem-solving skills, and ensuring academic excellence in this subject.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and active learning.
• Provide individualized support to students who may require extra assistance.
• Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students.
• Stay updated on the latest teaching methodologies and educational trends.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the mathematics curriculum.
• Encourage student involvement in math-related extracurricular activities.
• Lead and manage a class
• Identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for the students.
• Monitor teaching and learning activities to meet the needs of the students
• Plan and deliver effective sequences of lessons
• Identify and teach skills that will develop students’ ability to work independently and communicate effectively
• Identify and teach skills that will develop students’ social independence
• Lead a subject(s) or identified area within the School Improvement Plan and ensure progress is at least Good.
• Report on Students’ progress

Qualifications

• Should possess a minimum of B.ED, B.Sc (Ed), B.A (Ed) or an equivalent degree.
• NYSC Completion is Compulsory.
• P.G.D.E. and T.R.C.N. certification is an added advantage.
• Strong passion for English language and literature.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Patience and the ability to connect with students of varying learning levels.
• Effective classroom management skills.
• A commitment to inspiring and motivating students to excel in English.
• Must be passionate about Teaching
• Must be conversant with 21st-century ICT Tools.
• Must be computer literate, particularly proficient in using Microsoft Office Tools.
• Must be an excellent team builder and player.
