Inventory Accountant at Peopleware Consulting Ltd

Role Summary

This role is responsible for managing the full spectrum of financial accounting and inventory management to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities 

• Determination of stock adjustment requirements.
• Management of the inventory sub-ledger and general ledger
• Management of inventory holding levels
• Inventory costing and standardization of costing methodologies
• Monthly Stock Count, valuation and reporting
• Reconciliation of Cost of Sales Analysis and manufacturing cost
• Development of inventory aging and inventory days reports
• Determination of landing cost, product cost and margin analysis.
• Provision of inventory financial inputs to forecast and budget models
• Providing support to the supply chain team on inventory planning and controls
• Accounting for Stock Movements and Diagnose the Cause of Inventory Variance
• Developing of Inventory report in a timely manner for management use
• Daily update of inventory and fixed asset records.
• Implement and manage internal controls related to inventory.
• Reconciliation of inventories.
• Conduct physical inventories and monitor cycle count program
• Recommend efficient and effective inventory management methods / strategies.
• Tracking, recording, and accounting for fixed asset and depreciation
• Maintain and align fixed asset register with the GL balance
• Perform regular physical inventory counts of fixed assets.
• Perform analysis related to fixed assets when requested by management
• Prepare audit schedules for fixed assets and responsible for auditor’s inquiries
• Liaison with regulatory authorities and financial institutions.
• Monitor the expenditures of the company for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations
• Other required financial related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting of finance.
• Chartered member of ICAN
• Proven experience in financial or inventory accounting.
• Experience in the FMCG Industry is an advantage.
• Proficiency in the use of microsoft excel and accounting software.
• Ability to be able to handle pressure and be multi-tasking.
• Good knowledge of and application of basic accounting principles. 

Work Experience

• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar role.
