    Head Accountant

    Overview: 

    As the Head Accountant, you will be responsible for leading the accounting team of our client’s hotel chain, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of their financial reporting processes. You will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and compliance, contributing to the overall success and sustainability of the organisation.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Oversee all aspects of the accounting and financial management functions, including but not limited to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
    2. Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
    3. Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance reviews.
    4. Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and make recommendations for strategic decision-making.
    5. Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulations in Nigeria, and ensure compliance and adherence to applicable requirements.
    6. Evaluate and implement accounting software and ERP systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

    Requirements:

    • Proven track record of at least 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles, preferably within the hospitality industry.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation laws and regulations in Nigeria.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
