    Finance Manager

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Finance Manager:

    • Oversee daily operations of the account department: payables, receivables, reconciliation, and general Ledger
    • Oversee companywide budgets (revenue & expenditure), general ledger and maintain controls.
    • To lead the preparation of the annual budgeting process and ensure expenses are within budget. Investigate variances and take timely actions.
    • To manage short term liquidity and ensure weekly cash flow analysis, revenue assurance and monitor bank/cash balances. Identify key areas of risk within the Account department and propose appropriate controls to mitigate the risks;
    • To manage the year end external audit process and ensure completion within a maximum of 3 months after the year end.
    • Overseeing cash transactions including wire transfers, interbank placements and transfers.
    • Ensure all tax, pensions and statutory regulations are met.
    • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, financial analysis and management information reports
    • Managing the accounting process such that the management accounts are closed in accordance with SOP’s and agreed deadlines.
    • Reporting/tracking relevant financial KPI’s for both liquidity and profitability and in turn drive the business mangers to deliver requisite returns.
    • Ensure records are maintained in accordance with regulatory accounting standards (fixed assets inclusive)
    • To maintain a good relationship with the company’s financial business partners and vendors.
    • To maintain the company’s management information system to ensure integrity of information.
    • Serve as a key member of the management team for planning initiatives and contribute to the overall process of policy formulation and strategy.
    • Continuous improvement:
    • Assist the development and training of departmental staff.
    • Monitor the trends and developments needed to improve revenue.
    • Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguard
    • Participate in Accounting seminars and trainings
    • Liaise with the HR, internal auditor to manage financial issues.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Excellent communication, organizational skills (both internally, and to external associates.
    • Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • A proven ability to work independently and prioritize and manage your workload to complete audits and deliver timely reports
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a readiness to take initiative to resolve issues
    • Attention to detail to deliver accurate and credible results and objective assurance
    • Good interpersonal skills with a persuasive, diplomatic and confident manner.
    • An ability to build effective working relationships and provide advice at all levels
    • Fluent English with effective communication and listening skills.
    • The ability to prepare and deliver concise oral and written reports In addition to the above;
    • Degree in Financial Accounting or Financial Management (essential);
    • Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience, with at least three years in managerial position;
    • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant or Accountancy qualification/Accreditation with the Institute of Accounting.
    • Two years of work experience as a Finance manager in a Reputable Organisation.
    • Exceptional accounting skills;
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
    • Excellent documentation and IT skills;
    • Hands-on knowledge of an accounting software (SAGE
