Prepare, and initially build. month end reporting pack for Africa supply
Responsible for Group Reporting on Budget, forecast and Actual) for Africa Supply
Work with the commercial managers in preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasting to meet group reporting requirements and timelines
Track Apogee 2 project (a strategic capital project) spend year to date, track vs budget, and produce monthly project financial reporting.
Holding monthly meetings with project workstream leads to update the Apogee 2 project financial tracker for their latest estimate and expected timing of spend. This will be done alongside the Apogee 2 finance workstream lead.
Support the Apogee 2 project, attending project meetings, supporting the workstream leads and other ad-hoc financial tasks that may be needed from time to time.
Set-up suppliers on SAP that will support Africa Supply and Apogee 2 project, and work with the payments team to ensure all payments are made on time.
Raise POs for Apogee 2 project related spend
Provide periodic performance report on marketing budget utilisation and commitments.
Analyse and review all elements of discounts and promotional costs (actual vs forecast vs LY with insights) with Commercial Manager identifying risks and opportunities.
Analyse and review all elements of marketing costs and overheads (actual vs forecast vs LY with insights) with Marketing and Commercial Manager identifying risks and opportunities.
Manage overheads, ensuring judicious spend of budget and bring visibility to management to avoid risk to forecast
Perform revaluation of relevant balance sheet items at month end
Where required, prepare and book journals entries for Operations, distribution, Marketing, Commercial and Overheads related costs.
Perform necessary balance sheet reconciliations (i.e. on accruals, receivables, etc) and ensure that items are followed up as appropriate
Other tasks that the line manager may assign as need arise.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
Minimum of 10 years experience in Finance, experience within FMCG would be preferred
Analytical - able to see the big picture, but equally the ability to be thorough and give enough attention to detail
