    Equipment Preservation Specialist

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of equipment to determine preservation requirements based on equipment type, materials, and anticipated storage conditions.
    • Develop and implement tailored preservation plans for various types of equipment, utilizing appropriate corrosion prevention methods, coatings, and protective measures.
    • Collaborate closely with engineering, maintenance, and logistics teams to understand equipment preservation needs and ensure proper implementation of preservation strategies.
    • Apply advanced preservation techniques, such as vacuum sealing, moisture control, and protective enclosures, to maintain equipment integrity.
    • Document all preservation activities, including preservation plans, actions taken, equipment condition reports, and relevant technical documentation.
    • Coordinate with transportation teams to ensure proper packaging, handling, and transportation of preserved equipment to minimize risks during transit.
    • Regularly inspect preserved equipment to identify signs of deterioration, damage, or degradation, and coordinate with maintenance teams for necessary repairs or upkeep.
    • Provide training to staff members involved in equipment handling and storage, sharing preservation techniques and best practices.
    • Stay informed about industry advancements in preservation technologies, materials, and techniques to continuously improve preservation processes.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies related to equipment preservation.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in equipment preservation, corrosion prevention, or materials protection.
    • Strong understanding of preservation techniques, materials, and their applications.
    • Detail-oriented mindset with excellent analytical skills to assess equipment preservation needs effectively.
    • Exceptional communication skills to coordinate preservation efforts with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations governing equipment preservation.
    • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
    • Certification in equipment preservation or corrosion prevention (e.g., NACE certification) is a plus.
