    Documentation Titling and Records Lawyer

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Directorate of Documentation, Titling and Records is saddled with the responsibility of documentation of all records of the company as it relates to Real Estate, being the business of the Company. The Directorate follows through the process of Acquisition of land and other forms of Real Estate properties, the preparation of Document and the perfection of Titles to the acquired land or other forms of Realties, ensures that the Real Estate business policies and activities are managed correctly and in compliance with current laws. The Directorate also Reviews changes to Laws and Regulations and advises management on the impact of such changes to the business of the company while also following through with Government policies and ensures compliance.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

    • Preparation, processing and perfection of Titles.
    • Giving Legal advice on documentation and perfection of Titles.
    • Provide information and Legal advice on properties and Real estate issues.
    • Resolve issues raise by the Government as it relates to perfection of Titles.
    • Maintain an up to date and accurate record of work.
    • Advocacy with Government agencies on behalf of the Company.
    • Preparing Legal Documents.
    • To liaise with other Legal Services on cases of strategic importance.
    • To maintain strict confidentiality of company’s information.
    • Adhere strictly to company’s policies in all regards.
    • To undertake additional task and responsibilities which may arise from time to time.
    • To work to an annual work plan.
    • Identify and analyse risks in acquisition of properties where applicable.
    • Liaise with external Solicitors at every perfection stage.
    • Liaise and lead in negotiations involving Government or with third parties.
    • Advise management on compliance issues as they relate to Documentation, Titling and Records.
    • Prepare and render periodic report of Documentation and Titling jobs.
