    General Manager

    Description:

    Our client, a leading energy metering company, will be in need of a qualified professional responsible for strong general management, strategy and technical expertise for effective business operations within Nigeria and other West African countries.

     This role will involve management of operations and direct responsibility for the performance of the company’s metering supply, installation and value added services business lines. You will also interface with distribution utilities, government as well as international & local technical partners. You will also have P&L responsibility, relationships & contract management.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan Strategic Business Objectives: Create the blueprint of strategic business plans, evaluates the profitability of the plans and discusses it with the board of directors and practice leads.
    • Accountability to Board of Directors: Advise board members at the highest levels about the operational and strategic issues, client assignment status and resource planning for delivering strategic business Initiatives.
    • Represent the Company: Create and grow brand equity by establishing and maintaining high public visibility, attend industrial meets, national and international conferences
    • Build a Team: Act as like a liaison between Contractors and board of directors. Building a top tier team and ensure that team building is always an integral part of business strategy
    • · Allocate Budgets: Analyze, evaluate and develop budgets for Company. Scrutinize major expenditures of the Company and ensure that the Company's revenues are directed in cost effective and high rate of return investments.
    • · Ensure that profitability in all businesses is attained in line with Company’s goals and objectives.

    Experience and Qualification 

    • Business leadership; General Management in Manufacturing / power based business                                        
    • Sales, Marketing & Service Delivery of engineering products within electricity / power
    • Technical Service Delivery Excellence record
    • MBA  preferably with Operations major and/or a degree in Electrical Engineering
