Must have several years experience in preventive and curative services in Local Government/N.G.O./C.B.O. settings. Training in Diabetes Mellitus or experience in Diabetes care is a necessary requirement.
See to the day to day management of health care in the clinic and at outreach services in target populations.
Supervise the care activities of Community Health Officer (C.H.O) and Community Extension Workers (C.H.EWs) and other staff.
Initiate and support C.H.O's and C.H.E.W's efforts at implementing Standing Orders and effecting health education of patients, their families and the community.
Assist in collection and collation of monitoring and evaluation data for clinic and field activities.
Liaise with appropriate Local Government departments / agencies and functionaries to facilitate effective running of the Centre's health services.
Oversee the activities of C.H.E.W.'s in charge ofthe Centre's School Health Club.
Carry out other duties as may be assigned by the supervising officer (Coordinator of the Centre).
Computer knowledge will be an advantage.
