Job Summary

• In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks, including stocking shelves, assisting customers, operating cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.
• You will be the face of the store, interacting with customers and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their shopping journey.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and well-stocked shelves in assigned departments.
• Rotate stock effectively to ensure freshness and prevent expired items.
• Replenish inventory as needed and keep stock areas tidy and organized.
• Assist with receiving and processing new deliveries.
• Greet customers with a smile and provide friendly,helpful service.
• Answer customer inquiries about products,promotions,and store layout.
• Assist customers in finding specific items and offer product recommendations.
• Bag groceries efficiently and ensure a smooth checkout experience.
• Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently,processing customer purchases.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions securely and in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Keep shelves and sales floor clean and free of debris.
• Face and restock products to maintain an appealing presentation.
• Report any spills,hazards,or maintenance issues promptly.
• Participate in team activities and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• B.Sc / HND in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
• Retail experience, especially in a grocery store environment,is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
