    GBV CB-PSS Workers

    • Locations: Jakusco and Gashua
    • Contract Duration: 3 months with possibility of extension
    • Reporting To: PSS facilitator - GBV officer

       Job Descriptions

    • Identify safe spaces to provide community based PSS (CB PSS) that adhere to the quality checklists for center-based and outreach activities shared at the inter-agency level
    • Identify vulnerable children and caregivers in need of PSS sessions in line with inter-agency selection criteria
    • Deliver PSS sessions to children and caregivers.
    • Deliver Parenting curriculum to caregivers of children attending focused PSS
    • Ensure PSS sessions is delivered in line with global minimum standards and national inter-agency SOPs/standards
    • Ensure to identify and refer children and caregivers in need of case management to CP case management on a monthly basis
    • Ensure the proper documentation of data collected (hard and soft copies) during CB PSS (attendance sheets, permission slips, parental consent, referrals etc.)

    • Review the coaching session/plan together with the Officer and agree on areas in need of strengthening on a weekly basis.

    Key Areas of Accountability

    Provide support, in the PSS Programming which includes:

    • Adhere to the PSS procedures aligned through the PSS facilitator
    • Ensure to adhere to GBV SOPs especially dealing with WGFSS.
    • Ensure to provide technical skills in providing PSS to survivors of GBV in the WGFSS though working in close collaboration and team spirit with the Community Auxiliary social workers and PSS community workers on PFA, PSS, MHPSS in GBV programming
    • Provide PSS service for GBV survivors, counseling, PFA, PSS, referral for MHPSS for survivors of GBV
    • Supervise activities in the safe space (Empowerment activities skills acquisition recreation)
    • Oversea the activities of the WGFSS
    • Disseminates information on the following key themes, GBV, Types of GBV, consequences of GBV, services available, Non stigmatization and guiding principle of GBV prevention, mitigation and response.
    • Confidentially refer survivors of GBV to eh safe space for case managements through working with the COMBAAT and PSS community base workers and in close collaboration with the GBV officer.
    • Support in the GBV implementation activities with the GBV officer
    • Promote and identify the community base existing mechanism while integrating the standardized approach of PSS in the community.
    • Ensure to use the standardized skills during the PSS and also step down strategic and diplomatic ways for community based PSS on best approach and accepted PSS specialized skills when dealing with survivors

    Proposed Outputs

    • Support Community based PSS and Auxiliary social workers in providing individual counseling sessions with survivors of GBV where required based on complex cases.  
    • Be available on call if any urgent matters arise that a staff would like to share regarding their casework or his/her personal well being
    • Support the GBV Officer during the development of monthly reports and GBV 5Ws monthly reporting for the project to the GBVSSS and report to the Project Manager.
    • Development of peer/reflective practices with teams
    • Support current PSS practices, reflecting on a cross-sectorial approach.   
    • Structured PSS activities for boys and girls, organized in age-appropriate groups with a clear methodology or curriculum to promote mental well-being. Such activities must align with RAAI and her donor`s commitments.

    Qualifications and Experience
    Essential:

    • Minimum of BSc in Psychology, sociology and anthropology, clinical psychology will be an added advantage or any relevant field with Minimum of 3 year of experiences and 3 years post NYSC.
    • Experienced in Psychological First Aid, MHPSS, and other psychosocial support (PSS) activities
    • Experience working with survivors in Protection programs, including those with PSS component
    • Fluent in English and Hausa is desirable
    • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information

    GBV Program Officer

    Starting Date: ASAP

    Contract Duration: 3 MONTHS with possibility of extension

    Scope of the Vacancy.

    • The GBV program Officer will be responsible for the timely and quality delivery of field-level activities and technical expertise in ensuring all GBV Program SOPs are in accordance to the core GBV SoPs.
    • She/he will manage the team there and ensure the smooth running of the program in close coordination with other GBV/Protection actors.
    • She/he will ensure that a survivor-centered approach is adhered to and that GBV survivors and other vulnerable women and girls receive prompt and comprehensive services.

     Duties / Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement gender-based violence prevention and response programs in accordance with the organization's policies and guidelines in accordance to the Standard operational procedures of GBV implementation programing.
    • Conduct assessments and research to identify the prevalence and root causes of gender-based violence within the target area of project implementation.
    • Design and deliver training sessions and capacity building programs to program GBV team on GBV prevention, including awareness-raising, gender sensitivity, human rights e.t.c. while working closely with the PM to deliver within the project indicators and activities as assigned in order to meet project objectives and expected outcome.
    • Coordinate with local partners, stakeholders, and relevant institutions to ensure effective collaboration and coordination for GBV programming in-line with project objectives as stated within the project context.
    • Work closely with the M&E unit in developing and oversee monitoring and evaluation systems to assess the impact of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to staff and volunteers involved in GBV prevention and response activities through assigned project approaches.

    • Provide direct support and care for vulnerable for survivors including basic information counseling.
    • Ensure follow-up and case closure processes are in line with the GBV standard operating procedure and RAAI guidelines on case management (SOP).
    • Provide direct age-appropriate support and care to vulnerable persons and survivors that include basic counseling.
    • Ensure the principle of Do No Harm is observed and upheld in all the engagements Produce monthly data and regular narrative reports of cases managed in collaboration with the line manager and the M&E Officer.

    • Provide direct age-appropriate support and care to vulnerable adolescents and young women (including survivors of GBV that includes counseling and case management for under 18 years survivors.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Public Health, Humanitarian Work, Nursing, and any other related course.
    • 3 years and above experience in this field
    • Flexible and willing to work and stay in rural communities especially field-based
    • Attended training on GBV and is aware of protection issues.
    • Good knowledge of VAPP ACT law.

    MEAL Officer

    Job Summary

    The MEAL Officer will monitor programme results and logical framework and programme data collection, analysis, and reporting.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities

    • Track the project performances vs. project indicators
    • Create and manage databases to ensure the traceability of the project beneficiaries and assistance provided.
    • Regularly conduct on-site monitoring and post-distribution survey
    • Review, clean and analyze all project data, including but not limited to: beneficiary registration, onsite monitoring, post-activity monitoring, final evaluation.
    • Ensure that the project mid-term evaluation and project’s Real-Time Evaluation are conducted in a timely manner and as per donor’s regulations.

    • Elaborate, review, and test all M&E tools.
    • Promote the use of Information Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) solutions throughout the project including for the registration of beneficiaries, the registration of traders/vendors, the monitoring of the project activities, the post-distribution household surveys, the baseline study, and the mid-term and final evaluations.
    • Establish and manage a system to track beneficiary and non-beneficiary’s feedbacks and complaints management.
    • Ensure a timely submission of the post-distribution monitoring reports, feedbacks and complaints management reports, and evaluations reports.
    • Support the development and testing of electronic data entry questionnaires during periodic surveys and data analysis using an appropriate statistical package.
    • Train enumerators and daily workers on data collection tools and on the utilization of iPads and/or android devices.

    Position Requirements.

    AAP Officer

    General purpose of the position

    The Accountability to Affected Population Officer is responsible to lead the accountability system within the Mission, according to RAAI “Organizational Management and Control Model” and related Policies.

    Main responsibilities and tasks

    Responsibilities:

    1. Systematically analyze and follow-up the complaint mechanisms in all Location bases by supporting and reinforcing the existing accountability tools.
    2. Receiving the complaints through the different tools and processes put in place and keeping the database of complaints updated and available for Headquarters’ or Mission’s investigations.
    3. Refer to relevant actors and senior managers in case of misconduct or breaches of the rule, following the established pathways.

    Specific duties:

    1. Ensure the reinforcement and/or development of effective and sustainable accountability mechanisms, including the complaint and feedback mechanism for program beneficiaries/stakeholders in collaboration with the Heads of Field Office, PM and Coordinators.
    2. Ensure that clear SOPs are in place for the collection and processing of feedbacks and complaints through modalities that are easily accessible to beneficiaries, volunteers and staff;
    3. Ensure that data resulting from the feedback and complaint mechanism is properly archived and analyzed on a regular basis;
    4. Ensure that the community engagement is done in an appropriate and respectful manner, managing expectations and providing a transparent client-oriented service;
    5. Conduct investigations (at National level) related to complaints, in compliance with RAAI internal policies, and producing all relevant investigation documents, if required;
    6. Immediate refer to the PSEA focal point for any SEAH (sexual exploitation and abuses, harassment) suspected or confirmed incident.
    7. Immediate referral of survivors of SEAH to the relevant actors in the Mission for follow up.

    Required profile and experience

    Education

    1. Bachelor degree in social studies, humanitarian actions, humanitarian international law or any other juridical discipline. Master degree is a plus.

    Professional Experience

    1. Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience with at least 1 years in senior accountability role.
    2. Minimum 2 years of experience working in the humanitarian field.
    3. Information Management Systems expertise (e.g., Database management or data analysis software skills).

    GBV Community Base Auxiliary Social Workers

    Scope of the Vacancy/ JD

    • Provide support and care for adult survivors of GBV and age appropriately specialized support and care for both genders especially women and girls, boys adolescent girls and boys, including case managements.
    • Through the community base approach the GBV social worker will ensure to follow the GBV guiding principle of respect, confidentiality, safety/security and Non-discrimination while providing services.
    • The GBV hotline device, ensure to establish a proper  management of survivors from rural area who can access information about services provision and that action can be taken to facilitate their ability to receive their services in a timely manner.
    • Ensure to follow the key steps in case managements and adhering to the principle guiding GBV case managements.
    • Ensure all documentation on reported cases and referrals made are updated, accurate, organized and well maintained in the case files and the filing cabinet.
    •  Work with stakeholders to develop and strengthening referral system networks and monitor the implementation of the referral pathways to improve survivor’s access to confidential, safe GBV services in a timely manner to meets their need following the Survivor centered approach guideline.

    • With the support of GBV program Officer, design and the follow-up plan for each identified child and actively contribute in case management, collaborating with the other Case Workers and with the Community Support Case Workers to deal directly with the beneficiaries in the targeted areas.

    • Development of peer/reflective practices with teams
    • Support current PSS practices, reflecting on a cross-sectorial approach.   
    • Structured PSS activities for boys and girls, organized in age-appropriate groups with a clear methodology or curriculum to promote mental well-being. Such activities must align with RAAI and her donor`s commitments.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Essential:

    • Minimum of BSc in Psychology, sociology and anthropology, clinical psychology will be an added advantage or any relevant field with Minimum of 3 year of experiences and 3 years post NYSC.
    • Experienced in Psychological First Aid, MHPSS, and other psychosocial support (PSS) activities
    • Experience working with survivors in Protection programs, including those with PSS component
    • Fluent in English and Hausa is desirable
    • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information
    • Ability to work independently and proactively.

    Desirable:

    • Experience in humanitarian emergencies and/or a refugee/displacement-setting
